Another SMASHING success for outdoor volleyball in Licking County!

The rain stayed away long enough Saturday for 24 teams to play in the the 3rd annual Showdown at Sundown at White Field in Newark!

The event was FLAWLESS and remains the standard for “stadium volleyball” across the country.

👏🏻So much credit goes out to the volunteers that do much much to make this event special for all the athletes and fans. FIRST CLASS all the way (and a special shout out to DJ Lisa Blayde for keeping the vibe going and energy pumping behind the turn table)

It was a great way to kickoff our season coverage for six teams we are 🎥 documenting this fall (highlights coming soon)!

🏐Today is the last day to register for the 2026 Newark Catholic Volleyball "Camp of Champs" to guarantee your t-shirt size!🏐

The 2025 Newark Catholic Volleyball team had an amazing season - OHSAA Division VI STATE CHAMPS and a perfect 27-0 season!

If you have a volleyball player in grades 1-8, have them come and learn from this talented group of high school players and coaches this summer! Open to all athletes in Licking County & surrounding areas. Join in on tons of skill work, competitions, 6-on-6 games, and much more!

~CAMP DETAILS~

DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS MONDAY, JUNE 29.

GRADES: 1-12 (refers to your child’s grade for the 2026-27 school year; high school players also register for camp)
DATES: July 14-16
TIME: 9am-12pm - 1st-4th Grade; 1-4pm - 5th-8th Grade; 5-8pm - High School
LOCATION: Newark Catholic High School (Gym)
