To our Hanover faithful fans and supporters… thank you.

All year we played in front of thee best crowd it didn’t matter how far we traveled, or what the circumstances were, you were there.

You packed the stands. You cheered through every pitch, every hit, every out, and every moment of this incredible journey.

Today was no different. Seeing so much red, white, and blue in Firestone Stadium reminded our girls that they were never alone. An entire community stood behind them every step of the way.

Lessons Learned.

The scoreboard says the game finished 7-6
Our record shows 27-1.

Most people will see one loss.

What we see is a group of young women who won an LCL Championship, a District Championship, a Regional Championship, reached the State Final Four, and played for a State Championship.

We see countless hours of work when nobody was watching.
Early mornings. Late nights. Extra swings. Extra reps. Bus rides. Rain delays. Tough conversations. Adversity. Growth.

This season wasn’t defined by one game.
It was defined by every moment that led us there.

27-1.
LCL Champions.
District Champions.
Regional Champions.
State Finalists.

Hold your heads high, Panthers.

Not because of what happened today…
but because of everything you accomplished together.

The standard has been set.

And to our lone senior Addi Justice thank you for these last 4 years!

🥎What a run for the Panthers!

Licking Valley High School Softball finishes the season 27-1 and D4 State Runner-Up with an emotional 7-6 loss to Kenton Ridge in the championship game.

The Panthers led 6-0 in the third behind back-to-back home runs from Emory Whisner & Alexa Gilliam, but the Wildcats couldn’t be caged.

The unbeaten and reigning state champs mounted a comeback scoring two in the 6th to take their first lead of the game. Kenton Ridge has now won 64 straight.

As for Licking Valley, they have plans to be back in Akron in 365 days as the entire starting line-up returns to the diamond next spring.

𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗧-𝗣𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦😤

The Panthers never quit after giving up their first run of the postseason in the bottom of the 1st inning. They continued to battle back one pitch at a time until the 4th inning when Dani Lambert tied it up with an RBI double!

In the top of the 7th inning, while being calm, cool and collected, D'Neya Dennis drove one through the left side with two outs to bring across the game-winning run to send the Panthers to the state final!

Emory Whisner continues to be a force in the circle for Licking Valley as she tosses a gem with 11 K’s, allowing just 4 hits on the night.

For some, you’ve been dreaming about this since you were 6 years old.
For others, since the first time you picked up a softball.

Now you’re one game away.

Not because you got lucky.
Not because someone gave it to you.

Because you earned it.

Tomorrow, you get the opportunity to play for the biggest prize in Ohio softball.

Enjoy every second.
Play for each other.
