We are heartbroken to share the passing of our friend and founding member, Sharon Courtney.
Sharon was part of ErgoFit from the very beginning. She was strong, loyal, supportive, and a friend to everyone who walked through our doors.
Sharon was always the first to sign up for a new challenge, whether it was rowing on the water or racing a 2k at the NOLA Indoor Rowing Championships. She brought energy and joy to every ErgoFit celebration and was a fierce advocate for our young business and community. If you were friends with Sharon, there’s a good chance she tried to get you to come to class at least once.
As we looked through these photos, we couldn’t help but notice that Sharon always seemed to end up right in the middle of the group. That feels fitting because she was such a big part of what made ErgoFit special. Her presence will be greatly missed, but this community she helped build will continue to carry her spirit forward.
To honor Sharon, ErgoFit’s evening classes on Thursday will be canceled so that our staff and members can attend her Celebration of Life. Members who knew Sharon are also encouraged to join us.

A celebration at King Pin will follow the service.
