Relentless Dragon Boat Association Women's and Mixed teams, beginner through expert. We practice on the Delaware out of New Hope, PA

Founded in June 2009, Team Relentless initially was an excited but clueless group of Bucks County women who won the Novice Women’s Challenge at the 8th International Dragon Boat Festival on October 3, 2009. After that event, team members were hooked on the sport and searched for a way to bring it to Bucks County and the Delaware. In the spring of 2010, we incorporated as RDBA, purchased a dock and

boat, and began practicing on the Delaware in New Hope, PA. We participated in two races in 2010, the 5th Independence Dragon Boat Regatta and the 9th International Philadelphia Dragon Boat Festival. Also in 2010, we expanded our organization to include Relentless II and a youth team, Rock the Boat. Relentless II also participated in the 9th International Philadelphia Dragon Boat Festival. Rock the Boat participated in three races in 2010: The 5th Independence Dragon Boat Regatta, Finger Lakes Dragon Boat Festival in Ithaca, NY and the 9th International Philadelphia Dragon Boat Festival.

Excellent day at Independence Dragon Boat Regatta on Saturday! Krush finished in women's A major, Mixed 1 finished in A minor, Fierce took second place in women’s B minor and Warriors took gold in mixed B major. 🏆 Teams Passion and Ignite paddled hard into increasing headwinds in the afternoon. This was the biggest IDBR ever, with over six dozen teams in competition.

It’s a boy! Big congrats to Mixed 1 paddler Dan and his wife Arianna on the imminent birth of their first child. ❤️🎉🎈

Team Ignite started the season off right! In a rain-soaked, abbreviated Charleston Dragon Boat Race at Brittlebank Park, Ignite took the gold by winning the first heat before the rest of the event had to be scrubbed. 🌧️ Disappointing, but the ladies of Ignite clearly know how to have lots of fun regardless of the weather. And Ignite also raised second-most money for cancer patients.

This morning, Relentless had our third and final clinic for new paddlers. When there are two boats side-by-side, even with mostly newbies onboard, things get competitive pretty quickly. The red and white boats did an hour workout and scrimmage races, just like seasoned paddlers do. It was a lot of fun and we gained new members.
