Yesterday evening, Relentless had the pleasure of hosting education experts from Leadership+Design for a dragon boat clinic. It was the second time the organization joined us for a company activity. They got intro paddling lessons, solved the human knot puzzle and competed for 2-out-of-3 races (west "best" coast won the gold!). 🥇 We ended the event with medals and refreshments.

Oops, we did it again! 🏆 Relentless has a habit of winning gold in Hartford, and yesterday our team Oar Else took gold in the women's sport division 500 meter by 5 seconds, at 2:33.81. Tell them you said congrats! (Thanks to Terri O for the great pic.)

Silver medal at the Baltimore Dragon Boat Challenge for Mixed 1! On Saturday, M1 tied for silver with the PDBC Beavers at exactly 2:11.26 for the 500 meter final. M1 had second place all to themselves in the mixed division 2K at 11:04.46. Thanks to Rene P for the pics.

Another day and more hardware for Relentless women! Team Fierce took the bronze 🥉 yesterday at The Cancer Support Community NJ Dragon Boat Festival (a/k/a Gilda's) at May's Landing Lake Lenape with an excellent time of 1:05.01. Give 'em a round of applause! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Yesterday, Relentless women's teams Krush and PaddLynn' Red took on the New York International Dragon Boat Festival at Rockland Lake. The sport division had very tough competition from younger teams, but Krush held their own with solid finishes in the 200, 500 and 2000 meter races. PaddLynn' Red competed in the mixed division community 500 meter races. They came in 4th place against the mixed teams, and qualified for gold in the women's division. You gotta be in it to win it!

Yesterday morning, Relentless had the honor of running an exposition British vs. American dragon boat race up the river from the Playhouse to the bridge in celebration of America's semiquintcentennial. The British boat, flying the Union Jack and steered by Admiral Roy and drummed by Captain Jill of His Majesty's Navy, started by opening fire with water cannons on the Yankee rebel boat, flying the American flag and steered by Admiral Chris and drummed by Captain Deb of George Washington's Navy.

The American boat did win, and all sailors on both boats were thoroughly soaked at the end. Thank you to everyone who came to watch.
