Today we say goodbye to one of our own.

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Coach Chris Crawford, a member of our CAI Athletics family.

Coach Crawford was more than just a coach. He was a mentor, a leader, and a steady presence in the lives of so many of our student-athletes. A proud Graceland Class of 1998 graduate, he poured his heart back into the place that helped shape him, investing in the next generation both on and off the court.

From his time in our middle school boys basketball program to this past season on the varsity bench, Coach Crawford led with humility, passion, and a genuine love for his players. He had a way of connecting with kids, pushing them to be better while always reminding them of their value beyond the game.

Coach Crawford was the kind of coach who showed up, served others, and made a lasting impact far beyond the game.

While we grieve deeply, we do not grieve without hope. We trust that Coach Crawford is now in the presence of the Lord, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

We are lifting up the entire Crawford family in prayer as they honor and celebrate his life today; along with his friends, former players, and all who were blessed by knowing him. His legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he impacted and the example he so faithfully set.

Once a Warrior, always a Warrior. 💙💛

Warrior Nation — news from the IHSAA!

With the release of the new enrollment classifications, we will remain in Class 1A for all of our four-class sports — Baseball, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball — as well as our three-class sports — Boys Soccer and Girls Soccer.

Sectional assignments will be announced at a later date. Stay tuned for more details as they become available!
