It’s not actually the stress or pressure of business.
It’s not a strategy issue.

Once upon a time, there was a Man

I was madly, head over heels in love with him.
If I’m honest, I probably loved him more than any man I’d ever been with before.

It wasn’t the healthiest kind of love, but love isn’t required to be perfect to be real.

I never truly knew how he felt about me, so at the time I tried to prove myself to him. Tried to fit into his world. To be what he wanted. Hoping he’d love me back.

You can relate somewhere in your life too

On the outside I looked strong and unbothered, but on the inside I was a wreck, sad and depleted.

And when he chose someone else, it sent me into a 2 year tailspin of self doubt that almost ruined me.

We all have THAT MAN. The one it took forever to get over. The unrequited love. The “it’s just sx” thing even tho you both knew it was more than that.

This experience? For a season it made me doubt myself. It made me doubt my purpose, my mission, my business- everything

Our eyes locked from across the room. I felt electricity buzzing through my whole body.

Like a magnet, I was drawn into him. Even though everyone said he was bad news.

I’m talking abuse, crazy ex’s and the REAL reason you’re a strong, successful badass making bank- but still not getting what you want in love

In my 20’s, I still had ambition. Drive. A plan. A dream. But I gave it up for an abusive crazy person. Because like you, I had a subconscious blueprint that was stronger than I was.

You see, my father died when I was 7.
He died violently from a brain tumor that hemorrhaged suddenly.
And because of the tumor, his personality changed to mean, confusing and aggressive before he passed. He had become abusive, scary and unpredictable.

Even though he had been a loving father before.

So I was blueprinted to seek men who:

•Ghost or abandoned me- here one minute, gone the next
•Were chaos, stress, insanity - often kind one minute, mean the next
•Abandoned me physically and emotionally
•Were confusing
•I never really know if he loves me

The same experience I had as a little girl with my dad.

You can see how THAT blueprint played out with this dude in my 20’s, almost to a T.

A truth I’ve never shared before…

There was a period in my business- during which I had my highest income years ever- and everything looked great on paper.
My first 100k month. Features in magazines, speaking on Top 50 Podcasts. I looked hot AF on the outside

But on the inside?

I was doing it all with a broken heart.

That season of my business?

I was madly and relentlessly in love with a man who didn’t love me back.

And it broke my heart.

I’m not talking a few glistening tears of disappointment

I’m talking hours of ugly, snot crying most days
Sobbing to God

Overwhelming desire for him that did not let up no matter how much healing I did

It was the best sx of my life
But I was not chased. I was not cherished. I was not chosen. I wasn’t treated well.

It was excruciating for me.

I had done years of inner work before him. I thought that pattern with men was healed…But like any good death rattle 🐍, it reared up at its strongest right before it dissolved

💎What’s true for almost every high achieving client I’ve worked with- everything can be going great on the outside, even though on the inside we could be crumbling

So in 2023, I made a choice to refrain from dating temporarily. To be gentle with myself, and get to the root of this pattern for good.

That turned into celibacy on purpose

🤯 Which turned into now 2 YEARS and 8 months without sx.

(With one “hall pass” I allowed myself)

And it was through the act of refrain that something I never expected happened-

Dating Standards I could talk about before - but didn’t fully land in my bones, my cells, my body until I let go for those 2 years

I’m only available for men who take the lead, on everything, everywhere- from the gate.
I don’t wobble anymore

A double life used to feel safer to me

I have always felt a deep desire to be seen, but for a long time I hesitated to let ppl see ALL of me

So…I compartmentalized

Yearning for recognition intellectually and professionally in my 20’s, but then dumbing myself down around men so they’d “like me.”

Working as a full time therapist by day in my 30’s, and keeping my love for performing burlesque at night a secret.

I wasn’t being two ppl, but it was really difficult for me- because I genuinely have sooooo many parts that long for expression.
