We love being a Brantley County Heron!! What a privilege it is to live in such a village!
In the last 2 days, several of the players in these pictures have had to evacuate their homes. Tragedy and uncertainty are everywhere; they are felt as you stand in Nahunta and look at the sky to the east.
Despite the circumstances, Brantley County Herons are overcomers. This community comes together like no other. Our baseball team heads to North Georgia tomorrow to play in State Playoffs on Friday. (Good luck also to our Brantley High Girls and Boys Tennis Teams as they must play at a neighboring school tomorrow due to our county's state of emergency.)
Through it all, our Heron Spirit prevails.
Crista Gibson and all of the ladies at The Salon exemplified community spirit today and rallied around our Brantley High Baseball Team. In word and deed, these ladies told the guys, "We are proud of you; We believe in you!"
Thank you ladies for what you have done today. All of us are affected by the tragedy happening in our county. Thank you for believing in our team and in our county.
Way to show Brantley County Spirit guys!
You are overcomers. You are resilient.
We stand together with you.
Go do great things in Playoffs.
PROUD TO BE A HERON!!
