We wrapped up our annual surf instructor training this week and are looking forward to another season in the water.

This will be our 9th summer teaching surf lessons across the Outer Banks, and we’re lucky to have a team made up of experienced instructors who love sharing surfing with others.

From Duck to Nags Head, we’ll meet you at the best sandbar near you and help you make the most of your time in the ocean.

OUTER BABES IS BACK!!!

This Saturday, March 21st from 1–3 PM, we’ll be hosting a girls surf meetup at Black Pelican beach access. DM us if you’re interested in joining!

For those of you who are new here, Outer Babes is our all-girls surf club for middle school and high school-aged girls. This club is the heartbeat of Outer Surf. Where it all began back in 2017, and we’re so excited to announce that we’ll be bringing back monthly meetups!

Outer Babes is for girls who already know how to surf and are looking to progress and have fun with other girls who share the same passion! While we LOVE teaching girls how to surf, Outer Babes is not a learn-to-surf club. If you are looking to learn how to surf check out our camps and lessons and we’d be stoked to teach you!

Booking is now open for Surf Camp 2026 🌞🌊

We’re offering fewer camps this year so we can stay true to who we are — intentional, encouraging, and high quality. That means limited spots that will likely fill quickly.

Outer Surf Camp is where confidence grows wave by wave, every surfer has a place in the lineup, and skills are built through real coaching and steady encouragement. Kids leave stronger — in and out of the water.

It’s salty hair, sandy car rides home, new friendships, and that proud “I did it!” moment.

Camp locations will be announced closer to summer and will take place in Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, or Nags Head.
