Big week for instruction across Old Fort and Bloomfield Links.

We kicked off our Spring Linksters Program yesterday at Bloomfield Links with 60+ junior golfers (ages 6–13) getting their start in the game. Meanwhile, at Old Fort, we wrapped up Week 3 of our PGA HOPE program today, providing free golf instruction to our veterans.

From juniors learning the game to veterans finding connection through golf, this is what community golf is all about.

📢 Course & Practice Facility Closure Notice

Due to weather conditions and the need to cover our greens, Old Fort Golf Club, Bloomfield Links, and all practice facilities will be closed today.

The driving range will reopen tomorrow after scheduled maintenance.

Both Old Fort and Bloomfield Links will remain closed tomorrow as we continue course protection efforts and are expected to reopen Wednesday around mid-day.

Old Fort has been nationally recognized by Golf Digest for our recent renovation. Be sure to read our latest newsletter for important updates on temporary greens closures, our new golf cart fleet, OFMGA sign-ups, junior golf registration, and 2026 program details. Full details below.

Due to forecasted cold temperatures, the greens will be covered beginning Sunday, February 22. We anticipate reopening the course midday on Tuesday, February 24.

We’re proud to share that Old Fort is once again being recognized by Golf Digest in its coverage of outstanding affordable public golf. This comes after the course was already named an Honorable Mention for Best New or Renovated Public Courses and it’s exciting to see the momentum and positive attention continue on a national level.

This achievement reflects the vision and commitment of the City of Murfreesboro, whose investment in public golf makes opportunities like this possible. We’re also grateful to course architect Nathan Crace for the thoughtful redesign, Wadsworth Golf for their outstanding construction work, and the many staff members and partners who helped bring this renovation to life.

We’re especially proud of the work our team has done alongside the City and project partners to elevate the playing experience while keeping the game accessible.
