We would like to recognize Tyler Popham for a Bobby Jones Links Grand Slam Award. For those who don’t recognize the name, Tyler took over as our equipment manager in March of this year. Since taking over, Tyler has done a fantastic job learning our equipment and routines. He has handled countless equipment complications professionally and skillfully.

He is always willing to lend a helping hand where needed. His position is the cornerstone of the greens department. Without his hard work we couldn’t produce the superior conditions that we strive to provide daily. His knowledge, skills, and work ethic are greatly appreciated.

Help us give a warm welcome our newest Assistant Golf Pro, Sammie Spach!

Sammie is originally from Pataskala, Ohio, and recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University, where she earned her degree in Professional Golf Management. She will officially be elected as a PGA of America Professional later this summer.

Previously, she interned at notable clubs including Tiburón Golf Club, Scioto Country Club, and Westchester Country Club. Through these experiences, she developed a strong background in merchandising, instruction, and tournament operations. She is also a member of the Association of Golf Merchandisers.

Sammie is excited to join the team at MVCC and looks forward to getting to know the membership and contributing to a great season at the club.
