Come visit our great location next to the mountains with an amazing trail network on site and right out the door in the National Forest. We offer day use, camping and we have a few cabins available too.

The Greens got it done at the Stokesville Campground in Stokesville, Virginia this week! Using a cabin as base camp they rode all the trails on the property, ventured out into the adjoining U.S. Forest Service - George Washington and Jefferson National Forest / U.S. Forest Service and cruised some primo forest roads. Back at camp they landed a sweet foot long bass and a feisty little blue gill in the pond. To cap it all off they pulled in a sweet one from the North River after a cool refreshing swim (kinda like their shower 😂) by the Iron Bridge.

It's a beautiful start to the Memorial Day Weekend out here in Stokesville Virginia!
The Stokesville Market is offering up a delicious chicken special with biscuits and sides - please order in advance.
The has plenty of sites available even if you can only make it for a night. Crystal clear and cool for the weekend - the best camping weather possible! The trails are riding great, the river is clear with a steady flow and the night skies should be off the hook!

A wonderful weekend was had by all at the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) Campout. We hope you can make it back next year. The North River Gap - Stokesville, Virginia got a bit spicy this evening. Smoke caught my eye while cleaning up the Stokesville Lodge and I jumped in the truck to make sure it wasn't the Depot house. It wasn't, but I felt compelled to see what it was and kept going. Thank goodness Frank Loyd with the help of Kimberley Smith Loyd knows a thing or two and isn't afraid to get in the thick of it! Alan Cramer and Chris Scott gave the best support they could until Mt. Solon Volunteer Fire and Rescue showed up. It was nice to see the pro's in action. They didn't leave anything to chance and made quick work of it. Red Flag 🚩 warning is no joke. Had Frank been in town already or even showed up 10 minutes later, the Stokesville Campground might have been ashes.
