If you are free next Monday evening here is a great chance to meet a legend of the game!

Scott Stokely is launching a brand-new event format where you get to test-drive his latest plastic and he gets to join you on the course for some friendly competition! The Stokely Discs Triple Threat Scramble is all about that "old school" random-draw vibe—no stress, just pure disc golf for fun and bragging rights.

Entry Fee is $39 per player (Extra goodies thrown in for any juniors who come out!). Every player gets three discs with their entry fee and must play with only these three discs!

Stokely Discs Putter: Wren or Finch

Ching Approach: Juju or Precision

Stokely Discs Fairway Driver: Robin or Lark

Registration details will be posted shortly

Random Draw: Partners are assigned at the start of the event. (And yes, Scott is playing as well!!!)

Best Disc Format: You and your partner both throw; pick the best lie and keep moving toward the pin.

Don’t head home right after the round! Scott will also be hosting a FREE 60–90 minute talk (location to be announced) and Q&A on the history of disc golf, centered around his autobiography, “Scott Stokely: Growing Up Disc Golf.”

Scott is currently refining this routine for a future tour, so while he will eventually charge for these sessions, these are free of charge for now! He's on a mission to spread the "gospel of disc golf" to a mainstream audience, but he needs your support to get this movement off the ground.

If you are free for a little while today consider coming out to the course at Central Assembly of God as we work on completing the woods holes that will make this an 18-hole course! Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,

We plan to make a final push tomorrow to complete the 6 new baskets. They are the wooded, X-hole baskets. While a great deal has been accomplished in the last few weeks, we still have a good bit more to accomplish:
🪏⛏️

X3: Little clearing of the fairway
X4: Little clearing of the fairway, clearing and marking (with downed limbs/logs) of the path to the X5 tee box
X5: Clearing of fairways and landing zone, A few trees need to be cut – near landing zone and fairway to basket, clearing of C1 area, level and secure basket. clearing and marking (with downed limbs/logs) of the path to the X6 tee box
X6: Cutting out and leveling of tee-boxes. Clearing of fairways and landing zone, possibly one or two trees need to be cut, clearing of C1 area, level and secure basket. clearing and marking (with downed limbs/logs) of the path to the X7 tee box
X7: Clearing of fairways (a great deal of work needed here). Relocate the basket to its original position, level it, and secure it. Clearing of the C1 area
X8: Cutting out and leveling of tee-boxes. A few trees need to be cut – near the short tee pad and near the right side of the fairway approaching the last turn.

While some tools will be available, we encourage you to bring any tools – shovel, metal rake, Pickaxe, chainsaw, W**d eater, leaf blower, and please wear gloves. Some folks may be at the course at 10:00 AM if you would like to get started earlier.

Thank you

The fifth annual Mile Lane Disc Golf Ace Race was held yesterday, Saturday, November 30th. While the temperatures were in the mid-30s, the sun and the lack of wind made it seem much nicer than the previous two days.

The eleven participants each throw two shots on a modified 16-hole layout. The distances ranged from 60 feet to 105 feet. Competitors received 1 point for any throw that hit metal, 3 points for shots that hit chains, and 5 points for aces.

At the halfway point (8 baskets and 16 shots), Nick Russ led the field with 8 points - one ace and one chain hit. Chet Christner was in second with 5 points (ace) and Colby Mallery third with three points (three metal hits).

After the halfway point, things started to heat up. Every basket had at least one hit except for hole number 9. Colby hit an ace on the first hole after the turn and moved into a tie for first. On the next basket, Nic Davies (who came out of a two+ year retirement for this event) made his first points with an Ace. Two holes later, Bill Shreve hit an ace. On the 14th basket, Nic Davies (10) hit his second ace of the day and took a one-point lead over Nick Russ (9) and Colby Mallery (9).

On the 15th hole, Matt Marsh hit an ace, but no points for the top three. Play moved to the 16th and last basket of the Ace Race - a short sixty-foot shot between a few trees. Crosby Abe aced the shot as the first player to act. That was the eighth Ace of the day.

Colby was first of the top three to throw and did not connect on either of his shots. Nic Davies was next of the leaders and made one metal hit to move to eleven points - two ahead of Nick Russ. Nick Russ was also unable to make any points on his last throws, and Nic Davies took home the 2025 Ace Race Championship.

Final Point Standings:
Nic Davies - 11
Nick Russ - 9
Colby Mallery - 9
Bill Shreve - 7
Matt Marsh - 7
Chet Christner - 6
Crosby Abe - 6
Ethan Von Hagel - 3
Ethan Shreve - 3
Rick Perkins - 1
Scott Mallery - 0

The group moved to the 1-disc challenge portion of the day. Players selected one of their discs to play the 12 short hole layout. The disc was used to throw all shots - drives, up shots, and putts. After the twelve holes Nick Russ and Colby Mallery were tied for first place with nine-under par scores of 27. Bill Shreve finished third at a eight-under score of 28 and Chet Christner with a seven-under, 27. Colby and Nick competed in a tie breaker starting with long hole 1. Nick was unable to get the distance needed for his one disc and Colby was able to take the hole and the one disc Champion.

While Mile Lane will not have specific scheduled events throughout the winter - please watch our site for events coordinated by other clubs and pop up events. Some pictures will be uploaded shortly.
