Our first Orange Ball Tournament is in the books!

We loved seeing our Orange Ball players get out on the court, compete, gain match experience, and—most importantly—have fun doing it!

A huge THANK YOU to our high school volunteers who gave their time to be on court helping our younger players with scoring, side changes, and keeping the matches moving. Having our older players step up and support the next group of Summit players made the day even more special.

And of course, thank you to all of our Orange Ball players and families for helping make our first tournament such a success!

This is only the beginning! Keep an eye out for more Summit Orange Ball Tournaments coming up. We can’t wait to get these players back on court for even more match experience.

🎾 Two days. Two ways to compete. One great weekend of tennis at Summit!

Junior players have TWO opportunities for UTR Verified match play coming up:

🎾 Saturday, September 19 — Junior Singles Matchplay
🎾 Sunday, September 20 — Junior Doubles Duel

We especially want to encourage players to take advantage of Sunday’s doubles event! Juniors get plenty of opportunities to play singles, but competitive doubles opportunities don’t come around nearly as often.

Doubles challenges players in a completely different way — communication, teamwork, positioning, net play, quick decision-making and learning how to compete alongside a partner.

And why choose just one? Play singles Saturday AND doubles Sunday for a full weekend of match experience! 💪🎾

Both events feature UTR Verified matches on our indoor hard courts, with players matched to create competitive play.

🎾 Lessons build the skills. Matches teach you how to use them.

Lessons and practice are an important part of improving your game—but match play brings a whole different kind of development.

When players compete, they learn how to make decisions under pressure, adjust when something isn’t working, build confidence and independence, manage a match, and compete against different styles of players.

And one of the biggest things to remember:

You don’t have to wait until you feel “ready” to play matches. Playing matches is part of how you GET ready. 🎾
