Is there another ski area in New York opening an entire long abandoned section - let alone all in one year?

Truth is - this happened over a few Sam Adams at the Plattekill "Blockbuster" bar when Platty owner Laszlo Vajtay told Mike Taylor, "you should totally take over Holiday Mountain, how bad can it be?".

Fast forward 3 years - we're bringing amazing skiing & riding to new levels in New York's Southern Catskills. This is the season to check out Holiday Mountain!

Who said rebuilding long closed ski trails would be easy?! Our "North pod" is pretty much all SAND, so a quarter century of neglect & erosion is quite the challenge to bring it back.

We're moving thousands of tons of rocks to reshape "The Bowl", stabilize the soil, fill giant gullies and channel future rains.

We're bringing back some of the most fun terrain the Catskills has to offer - this is definitely the year to check out Holiday Mountain!

We're sad to be losing our rental department manager Brandon Mancroni, but wish him the best with his plans to move to the west coast!

Big shoes to fill - we're looking for a rental department manager!

The department manager handles training & scheduling of the winter staff to give great customer service, tuning & testing all our rental equipment pre/ post ski season, help plan ahead for new inventory purchases and help where needed.

Could be Fall / Winter seasonal or full time if you're open to switching to our sister companies in summer: or where we have endless summer work to get done!
