Want to join Team ALA? We are looking for a new Sports Coordinator!

Position Summary:
The Sports Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, and ex*****on of assigned sporting events for the Alabama State Games, Alabama's largest annual Olympic-style multi-sport event. This full-time position serves as the primary liaison between the Alabama State Games and sport directors, venue partners, officials, volunteers, coaches, and participants to ensure each competition is organized, safe, and delivers an exceptional athlete experience.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and passionate about sports and event management. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. This position is in-office in Montgomery, AL.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Event Management, Business, Communications or related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience in sports administration or event management may be considered.
- Experience coordinating sporting events preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (docs, sheets)
