We have signed forward Chad Herron for the 2026-27 season! 🏒

Coach Jay Croop is excited to bring Herron to the Bayou, saying, “Bringing Herry to Monroe for a comeback tour was an easy one. I was in a locker room with him. I know his mindset. He will fit in with this group.”

Herron is ready to make his mark in the Snake Pit:

🎙️ Introducing the new Voice of the Moccasins: Danny DeBock!

The Monroe Moccasins welcome Danny DeBock as our new Director of Broadcast and Media Relations. Bringing nearly a decade of experience in sports broadcasting and media relations, DeBock has worked across hockey and baseball, including with the P*e Dee IceCats, Seattle Thunderbirds, Seattle Kraken and Morgan County Wranglers.

“I am humbled and grateful to join the Monroe Moccasins as their play-by-play voice. I would like to thank Chairman and CEO Nic Perkin, Head Coach Russ Parent, and broadcast producer Troy Savanna for trusting me with the honor to represent this tremendous organization on and off the mic.”

17 IS BACK🔥

Tucker Scantlebury is returning to the Monroe Moccasins for the 2026-27 season.

After a strong first season in Monroe, Tucks is back and ready to get to work.

“Monroe has felt like home since day one. I have an immense amount of gratitude for the city of Monroe, the fans, my teammates, and everyone within the organization.

They’ve believed in me, and the best way I know how to repay that belief is to give everything I have to bring the experience of a championship back to this community.

I’m looking forward to getting back to work, reconnecting with the guys, and seeing what we can accomplish together.” — Scantlebury

Coach Jay Croop is just as excited to have him back:

“Tucks is one of the most anticipated and feared returners. After trying to land him for six years, I finally got a chance at him last season. To sign him again is so exciting, not only for me, but for the team and the amazing fans of Monroe.

While speaking with returners during this offseason, I kept hearing the same question … ‘Will Tucks be back, too?’

They just don’t make them like him anymore. He’s a dying breed and does it all. Tucker leads by example and never hesitates to throw the gloves off. He lives by ‘team first’ and sacrifices his body for it daily. On top of all he can put the puck in the net.

We are starting to put it all together. This team is fast, physical and in your face for a full 60 minutes, and we have a bone to pick.” — Croop
