Coaches Spotlight: For those that haven’t met Coach Major, here is some background on his experiences. He leads by example and the Monroe Community is thankful to have him working with our kids.
🏈WEST BROOK TO THE MAC: KENDALL MAJOR’S JOURNEY BUILT IN THE TRENCHES🏈
From Beaumont West Brook to the top of the MAC, Kendall Major’s path has been defined by hard work and development in the trenches.
A First-Team All-District selection at West Brook, Major continued his career at Kilgore College, where he helped lead the program to a conference championship in 2018. His performance earned him a shot at the Division I level, transferring to Toledo in 2019.
After redshirting his first season and working his way into the lineup, Major steadily developed into a key piece of the Rockets’ offensive front. By 2022, he was a full-time starter, helping power an offense that ranked near the top of the MAC in scoring, rushing, and efficiency.
In 2023, he continued to contribute along an elite offensive line that ranked fourth in the nation in sacks allowed, while Toledo’s offense led the conference in multiple categories and ranked among the nation’s best on the ground.
Off the field, Major’s success matched his work on it—earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
From Southeast Texas standout to a cornerstone in college football’s trenches, Major’s journey is a testament to persistence, growth, and doing the work where it matters most.
