At Alabama State University, supporting our students means making sure they have what they need to thrive.

When incoming freshman Amani Smith-McDaniel needed mobility support to navigate campus, President Quinton T. Ross, Jr. and community partner Ariel Home Medical came together to provide a motorized scooter to help her begin her college journey with greater independence.

It’s CommUniversity in action: seeing a need, building a bridge and showing a new Hornet that her community is already behind her.
