Around 23 million years ago, volcanic eruptions helped shape the dramatic spires and cliffs you see today—but here’s the twist: the volcano that formed Pinnacles didn’t even start here. Thanks to the movement of the San Andreas Fault, these rock formations have traveled over 195 miles from their original location.
