Life Behind Bars - Cream City Cycle Club - Kraut Ride 31 Miles - Froemming Park to Franksville - Ride Leader Rosie Browne

What a beautiful day for a ride to Franksville with a lot of smiling faces - so grateful that the rain has paused today for us to complete this beautiful ride. We also got to welcome a new member Jan, who completed her 2nd CCCC Ride today. So many things to see... Here are a few photos that I took along the way.

June 6, 2026 - Fishing in Port Washington - 38 miles. A picture perfect day for ride through quiet subdivisions, the Interurban trail, and low-traffic roads. Our ride began at Virmond Park in Mequon to Port Washington and back. The road beckons. Get out there and ride! Thank to Harry Panagiotopoulos for leading this ride.

May 27, 2026 - Estabrook Park to Greenfield/Corner Bakery Lunch - 32 miles

The weather is cooperating and our members are responding. Twenty-three members rode the Oak Leaf and Hank Aaron trails on a 32- mile loop from Estabrook Park to Greenfield. Our rest stop was the Clark Gas Station at 120th Street and Greenfield. Today was noticeably cooler with northwest winds off the lake. We rode by the memorial to Wisconsin's fallen soldiers but I did not get a photo of it. It included over 27,000 flags! The after ride lunch was at the Corner Bakery on East Capitol Drive. It was a pleasure to lead this ride.

Life Behind Bars - Cream City Cycle Club - Saturday May 23, 2026 - Grafton Bridge 20 and 42 mile routes - Ride Leaders Lois Gresl and Mike Sommers. Another beautiful May day to join Cream City Cycle Club on a beautiful ride from Glendale to Mequon (20) or Grafton (42) starting at Kletzsch Park. The sun was shining, there was no rain and though a bit cool in the morning - looks like EVERYONE knew it was going to be a great ride. Here are a few photos that I took along the way. Thanks Mike and Lois for leading the way.

Kletzsch Park to Cedarburg/The Brick Lunch - 34 miles.

Not the best conditions for a ride but not the worst. 50 to 55 degrees and winds gusting to 25 mph. Needless to say, I was very happy to see a dozen Cream City Cyclers ready to ride! We're a hardy bunch. One portion of the ride included 4 miles into a direct headwind. A beautiful route through quiet subdivisions and the Oak Leaf Trail with lunch at The Brick to top it off! Another great day on the bike. It was a pleasure leading this ride.

Life Behind Bars - Cream City Cycle Club - Monday May 4, 2026 - Women on Wheels (WOW) - What a beautiful day to ride our bikes on the Powerline Trail led by Judy Liebl. Such a great turnout for the first WOW Ride of 2026. The sun was shining, there was no rain and they say wind is your training partner, right? Here are a few photos that we took along the way. Many thanks to our Ride Leader Judy Liebl.

September 24, 2025 - Oakwood Park to Lake Keesus via the Bugline trail - 33 miles.

We had a great ride on Wednesday. The weather was a little cool, which was great for biking! The Bugline is a club favorite. There was construction on sections of the trail so the map was altered to avoid it. After a brief stop at the Lisbon Community Park, we headed back for lunch at Ally's Bistro. Each dish looked good and tasted great! Thanks to Rick Ripple for leading this ride.
