ALL RIGHT… THAT WAS A CLOSE ONE! 🏁🔥
Another SOLD-OUT event, and once again we brought two Formula teams to the grid. After a great qualifying session, Formula None qualified 2nd and Formula Fun 3rd.
The team in pole had an old track-record holder on their lineup and, to make things even more difficult, they got extremely lucky with the best kart. We weren’t too worried about qualifying, though. With a Le Mans start, anything can happen.
Unfortunately… they also managed to keep that best kart for the start. 😬
So, no excuses. We just had to drive harder.
The race started with Formula None in 2nd and Formula Fun in 3rd, and from the very beginning, it was INTENSE. The battle for 1st and 2nd was absolutely brutal, while 3rd and 4th were fighting just as hard behind them. Nobody was giving anything away.
With 36 minutes remaining, Formula None was comfortably holding 2nd, while Formula Fun had moved into 1st. The only problem? Both teams still had one pit stop left, and it was looking like Formula Fun might have to settle for 3rd by the finish.
Then everything changed.
With 29 minutes to go, Formula None took the lead. 🚀
They still had one pit stop remaining, but they started building a gap. When they finally came in, they came back onto the track with an incredible 20-second lead over the team in 2nd.
And then… they did exactly what they needed to do.
They held that lead all the way to the checkered flag. 🏆🔥
FORMULA NONE — P1!
Formula Fun unfortunately had a couple of tough moments. Some miscommunication sent them off track, and then another incident caught them up and ultimately cost them a podium finish. Racing can be absolutely brutal sometimes.
But despite the result, I couldn’t be prouder of both teams. They fought hard, pushed all the way to the end, and gave us another race that had us holding our breath until the checkered flag.
Two teams. One crazy race. And Formula None bringing home the win.
That’s racing. 🏁❤️
