We absolutely love this! Lisa Röckener and Valoo rode bridleless during the opening ceremony of the FEI World Championships in Aachen, bringing bridleless riding and Liberty onto one of the biggest stages in equestrian sport.

Okay, friends, it’s official. The 2026 Liberty Festival schedule is here! 🐴

And fair warning: deciding where to be may be the hardest part of the entire weekend. 😅

Friday brings the ILHA Championship Classes, live conversations, educational sessions and our Cheers to Liberty Party.

Saturday is packed with clinics, demonstrations, Q&As and the ILHA Invitational Freestyle Show.

Sunday brings Cowboy Church, more hands-on learning and an honest Real Talk Roundtable to close out the weekend.

Most horse people can tell you roughly how old they were when the obsession started.

Maybe it was a pony ride, a first lesson, or one particular horse you couldn’t stop thinking about. After that, your family never really stood a chance. 😂

Allison Whisler understands how important those early experiences can be.

Allison began her career as a schoolteacher and later became a PATH-certified therapeutic riding instructor. Today, she runs Whisler Equine Services, teaches riding and Liberty clinics, serves as an ILHA judge, and helps young horse lovers develop real skills with their horses.

Her popular Liberty Festival teaching has included “How to Teach Liberty to Kids,” giving families a practical way to help younger handlers understand the foundations of Liberty.

We’re excited to welcome Allison back to the 2026 Liberty Festival educator lineup.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes at Liberty Festival, and we need a great volunteer team to help bring the weekend together.

Volunteer opportunities include assisting with the ILHA Championship Show, welcoming guests, helping in hospitality areas, working with Kids Corner, supporting setup and tear-down, and keeping things moving throughout the event.

Volunteers can receive Festival admission based on their shifts, along with meals, and event merchandise for qualifying hours.

Come spend the weekend with people who love horses and help us make the 2026 Liberty Festival a great experience for everyone attending.

We’re excited to welcome Caitie Holtzman back to Liberty Festival!

Caitie brings a wonderfully versatile background to the arena. Her experience includes Liberty, c**t starting, performance horses, clinics, and equine education, so attendees get to learn from someone who has worked with many different horses across several areas of the industry.

A big part of Caitie’s approach is recognizing that horses are individuals. There may be shared foundations, but each horse can require a slightly different conversation along the way.

Maybe you’ve been watching Liberty videos for a while and thinking, “I’d love to try that, but I have absolutely no idea where to start.”

Come to the 2026 Liberty Festival.

You don’t need experience to spend the weekend with us. Some people come because they’re already completely hooked on Liberty. Others come because they’re curious and want to learn more.

There’s a lot to take in over three days, and you’ll get to watch different clinicians work, hear how they approach their training, ask questions, and hopefully head home excited to play with some new ideas with your own horse.

During the Festival, Dan will break down the communication, body control, and foundations used to develop Liberty horses and progress into more advanced work.
