LAKE ERIE FALL FISHING!

I've decided to open up a 9 day stretch for charters to fish the Lake Erie walleye contests.

Fishing out of Lorain, Ohio. Ohio fishing license is required.

This year there are 3 total contests to enter with huge prizes to be won in each contest.
It's around $40 per person per contest to enter, and for fish to be eligible all people in the boat must be registered.

I will take normal charters to fill your freezer during this period, but you will not be eligible for any prizes.

On today's episode of "Things Capt Mike Does When He's Not Fishing", we have "insanely huge wasp nest removal".

3 days before coming home from Manistee my wife was surprised by wasps coming through the drywall in a bay window.
She had an exterminator come treat them but now I had the honor of cleanup and repair planning.

Boat is on the trailer and camp is getting packed down.
What a fun month in Manistee. Thanks to everyone who came out and fished with me. Hope to see you all again next August.

This was our last trip of the 2026 salmon season and we made it a good one!

Time to get the boat cleaned and switch gears back to walleye and perch. Give me a call if you'd like to get a fall trip on Saginaw Bay!

It's a sad day when the smoker gets loaded up because that means salmon camp is near the end.

This year was different for me as I usually spend a lot of time at our family camp about 20 miles from the lake.
I ended up staying in town with friends for the whole month and it's sad to see the fun coming to an end. We had a blast.
Plans for next year are already in the works. It'll be a nice break, but before you know it we will all be missing it.

Get ahold of me for salmon 2027, and and walleye and perch from now until then!
