WE STILL HAVE SPOTS AVAILABLE IN BOTH THE BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE CAMPS!!!☺️

The time is finally here!! 🐎👏🏻🥳🎉
SUMMER CAMPS!!!🐴💗
We have been doing this for over a dozen years now☺️
We will have 3 day options for beginners and 5 day options intermediates this year!
*Campers will ride daily, various disciplines throughout the camp,
*Participate in daily chores and care around the farm,
*Learn about tack (equipment) of various disciplines,
*Equine anatomy,
*Hoof and dental care,
*Various crafts (generally tie dye shirts or making horse treats, etc)
*Swimming if time/weather permits
*Horsin around!🤠🤙🏻🐴

Campers will need to bring appropriate clothing and lunch daily.
Helmets will be provided if they do not have their own.
Beginner campers do not need to have prior horse experience.
**All camps are ages 7+**
**Only 6 campers per camp**
**All camps require a HALF DOWN NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT to hold the spot**
**9am-3pm for ALL camps**
**3-day $400, 5-day $600**

Next of the "not so" lesson horses is our big, goofy, grey thoroughbred gelding, Nox. Nox came to us from Colorado last winter, which was quite an adventure for him and Joe😳
Nox came to us with a shaved forelock and stitches after rearing up into the edge of a building at his former home. Took those out, no problem! We also discovered he has "extra" retained baby teeth! This guy is full of talent and personality, total goofball. Always in the humans space and his pasture mates😆🤦🏻‍♀️With all that comes quirks n he's full of those too! He rides English, Western, and ba****ck like most of our horses do but he sure can throw a tantrum when he wants to! Nox is another one that is more of a personal horse because of this, for his safety and for our riders. Thankfully, he's found a human that appreciates his big ego and personality recently and they are building a great relationship 💓 she's hoping to take him around a few courses this summer! I'm excited n he's a spoiled brat!🤣Isn't he purdy though!?😍

Moving on to our next group of introductions! To start off our "not so" lesson horses we have Tucker's horse, Cash. Cash came from a kids camp where his name was Gunner, he even has a baseball card 😆 n he wasn't quite working out there so we scooped him up as a next project for Tucker.
Cash is currently our only buckskin on the property, he kinda changes color with the season which is neat. He is quite a character as well, he n Fynn are always goofing around in the pasture together🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 while he is primarily Tucker's mount, Cash has also participated as a backup for MIHA in the past and has occasionally been used for advanced lessons. Even though he is versatile and very smart, he is not for beginner/novice riders at this time. As you can see, he loves to run barrels and poles but is also quite pretty over fences though he's not as confident in that department😉 we are working on that this year😏 hopefully he will be added to the lesson string in the next couple years ❤️

Last on our list of lesson horses is Miss Magnolia, or as we all call her, Maggie. Maggie is a grade type, Bay, quarter horse mare standing about 14.1hh at around 8 years old. She has been with us for a few years now but we are pretty sure she was not riding trained when we acquired her, though she did have a 2 year old "baby" (who was bigger than she was) still nursing off of her as a 5 year old. Having a 2 year-old baby as a 5 year-old means she was also bred at 2 years old since their gestation is 11 months😬 Maggie also happens to have some skin cancer spots that we are monitoring and treating, one being somewhat significant and on her hock area. Though they don't seem to bother or hurt her we keep an eye on them for growth & change.
Maggie is such a neat little mare and the head of her herd. She's spunky but kind and she loves taking care of her riders whether it's English, Western, or ba****ck. From obstacle courses with the young riders, to jumping with the teens, to trail rides with the adults this girl is game!! Maggie is an "old soul" and definitely has some "momma qualities" she lets shine and that we treasure around here so she is a real treat to get to ride at GHS💓

Our other teenager happens to be a long ear!😯 This little one's name is Loretta n she has no idea her size, she is ALL might n tenacity! From jumping to chasing cows she is a blast to ride! She is a new addition but we are having ssssssssooooooo much fun with her!! Our crew tends to like the long ears😊 Can't wait to see what the future holds for her with us💓

Next for introduction is one of our newer additions, my "birthday present" 2025, Belle! Belle is a dark brown, early teens, Morgan cross mare with a great work ethic. She loves to learn new things and is so smooth and fun to ride! Prior to us she was mainly a woman's trail horse and has a slight hernia on her right side so we keep it pretty low key with her, no speed or jumping😉 she rides English or Western but most of us seem to prefer to ride her ba****ck so far! Maybe that will change since she's only been here a few months🤷🏻‍♀️

For the last of our "Golden Oldies" we have our boy Fynn! This sassy Roanoke pony will be 24 this year and I have owned him more than once in his lifetime, just like DD. In fact, he was part of a crop of project horses I cultivated 15 years ago! Plucked outta a backyard in Bullock Creek barely broke!😂
I met his mother & sire (Qh/Mustangx & Pinto/ Arabianx) when he was a baby n this boy is an exact replica of his momma! She was a handy crossbred ranch horse owned by one of my original MIHA teams. Thankfully, just a splash of Daddy's attitude😜 That little bit of attitude has been what's made Fynn such an incredible competitor for over a dozen years now! He can jump, neck rein n slow down for western pleasure, prance thru a Saddleseat pattern, keep pace for showmanship, carry a flag, mosey down the trail, splash in the creek, and he will cruise any speed pattern cuz those are his favorite! He's done summer camps, lessons, Rodeo, equestrian team, fair, so many things in his lifetime. I feel so blessed to have known this amazing gelding for majority of his life 💓 he's given so many smiles and good memories to folks over the years 🥹

Mother Nature has been a chilly one lately🥶 everyone has makeups to be scheduled 😵‍💫 thankfully we have a few open spots for next month to get those made up! Invoices sent out today for February!🐎
Though we have been forced to reschedule frequently lately due to temps, work around here still gets done! Equines all on rounds, heated water tanks for all 3 pastures (can't wait for the Drinking Posts in the spring), and grain for the Golden Oldies💓 Can't wait for spring!😍

Continuing on with our introductions, may I present 2003 AQHA mare SMARTLITTLEMISHAIDAS or as we like to call her Gator💓 she hasn't been with us for more than a couple years but I knew her for a few years prior to owning her and I'm so thankful we got the opportunity to have a horse as cool as she is! She has quickly become a favorite of our students though she was intended to be a personal horse for me (Melissa)🤷🏻‍♀️
This chick is a badass princess. She's mean, she's gorgeous, she's smart, and she's versatile. She spent most of her life mainly as a cutting horse but has taken everything we've asked her to do in stride, quite literally!😂 How many Doc O'Lena bred horses do you know that can jump or ride Saddleseat!?😯😂 Anyhow, she's pretty neat, quirks n all, as you can tell by all the pics! Enjoy!!
