The last 16 months have been some of the toughest we’ve ever faced at Advanced Equipment Rental. We’ve been tested, challenged, unbelievably pushed in ways most people will never know. But one thing about us… we DID NOT quit. Through it all, we never wavered from our core values, our commitment to our customers, my business partners, or the loyalty with dedication we have to our AER CREW. We stayed true to who we are with the principles this company was built on.

I’ve always been a salesman at heart. Put me on a job site, in a meeting, or in a room full of strangers, & I’m right where I belong. I’ve always believed a handshake, a good conversation, & remembering the little things will take you further than any sales pitch ever could. It’s not just about earning the business, it’s about building relationships that keep you coming back. It’s about who is going to answer that phone call & make it happen at 2 in the morning. For a while, AER needed me behind a desk, - that’s where I had to be. But these last eight weeks back in the field have reminded me exactly why I love what I do.

&& let me tell you… what a difference EIGHT weeks can make! I’ve always had a gift for gab a real hard time saying NO. Matter of fact, NO isn’t really in my vocabulary! Turns out, those two things can open some pretty incredible doors. That’s where our strongest moto “Don’t Ever Doubt Us” came from. We’re expanding AER in ways we once thought were impossible. Opportunities I couldn’t have imagined a year ago are becoming reality. We’re ONLY scratching the surface.

I’m proud of my business partners, our AER CREW, and everyone who’s stood beside us through it all. None of this happens without them. As for what’s happening behind the scenes? Let’s just say… there’s a WHOLE lot more going on than anybody realizes. And I can’t wait for y’all to see what’s coming!

💸💸 THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS DOESN’T STOP THE JOB 💸💸

Fuel goes up. Parts go up. Tires go up. Insurance goes up. Labor goes up. But when a customer needs equipment moved, delivered, picked up or swapped out, somebody still has to put a truck on the road and get it handled.

That’s the reality of this business. Every mile has a cost. Every truck has to be maintained. Every driver has to be paid. Equipment has to stay ready.

Whether it’s Monday morning or after everybody else has gone home, the work still has to get done. We don’t control the price at the pump.

We do control how we operate. We control whether our equipment is ready. We control whether our trucks are maintained. We control whether we answer the phone. We control whether we communicate. &&& we control whether we do what we said we were going to do.

That’s where AER puts its focus. This industry changes constantly. Costs move. Markets tighten. Jobs speed up. Jobs slow down.

Our customers shouldn’t have to wonder whether we’re going to show up when they need us. Keep the equipment ready. Keep the trucks moving. Take care of the customer. Do the job right.

🔥 GOOD MONEY AIN’T THE SAME THING AS EASY MONEY. 🔥

Everybody sees the paycheck. They don’t see the time. The birthdays missed. The holidays worked. The ballgames watched through a phone. The anniversaries spent on location. The family stuff handled from hundreds of miles away because the job still had to get done.

That’s the part people forget. The oilfield has built a good life for a lot of families. It’s given people an opportunity to make damn good money, provide, build something, && take care of their own.

But none of it came free. You get paid for the hours nobody else wanted to give up. The late nights. The early mornings. The weekends. The heat. The cold. The miles. &&& most of all — the time away from home.

Around here, we know exactly what that costs.
We answer the phone. We load it. We haul it. We deliver it. And We stay until the job is handled. THIS IS AER!!!

Call it good money, Call it hard money.

Just don’t call it easy money.

Today isn’t a box to check on a social media calendar. September 11th deserves more than that.

Twenty-five years ago, 2,977 people woke up on an ordinary Tuesday morning && never came home. America watched the unthinkable unfold in real time.

We watched the towers burn and fall in New York. We watched the Pentagon attacked.
We learned of four planes hijacked in our own skies.

&& on Flight 93, ordinary Americans — passengers and crew members who understood what was happening — made an extraordinary decision. They fought back!!

They knew another attack was likely coming. They knew what standing up to those hijackers could cost them, && they did it anyway. Their courage helped keep that plane from ever reaching its intended target.

That is part of September 11th, too.

So are the firefighters who climbed while everyone else was coming down. The police officers, paramedics who ran toward devastation. The service members who responded at the Pentagon. The strangers who carried strangers. The families who waited for phone calls that would never come.

September 11th showed us the absolute worst humanity was capable of — and almost immediately, some of the very best.

Courage. Sacrifice. Selflessness. Faith.

There were flags everywhere. There were prayers everywhere. Neighbors took care of neighbors. Strangers helped strangers.
&& for just a moment, the things that divided us became much smaller than the country that united us.

That is the part we refuse to let fade with time.
Because America isn’t just a flag hanging outside the shop or a word printed across a shirt.

America is the firefighter climbing the stairs.
The first responder running toward danger.
The service member answering the call.
The passenger who stood up and said, in effect, not on our watch. It is ordinary people finding extraordinary courage when somebody else needs them.

Today, we remember New York. The Pentagon. Shanksville.

We remember every life taken. Every family forever changed. Every hero who ran toward danger. && every person who fought back.

We remember what September 11th took from America — but we also remember what September 12th reminded us America was made of.

Hard to break.
Quick to help.
Willing to fight for one another.
Proud to stand together.
And damn sure proud to be American.

May we never need another tragedy to remember that.
