Another successful Halloween Open is in the books!

This past Sunday, we played all 36 holes at Pleasant View Golf Course in a handicapped four-person scramble featuring rotating tees and some incredibly fast greens on our Par 3 course!

Congratulations to Ty, Craig, Mark, and Adam on taking home the win!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a great day of golf, and Happy Halloween from all of us at PVGC!

Thank you to everyone who followed along as we recognized our four 2026 GOAT Award recipients!

GOAT stands for Genuine, Opportunistic, Admirable, and Teammate. These are qualities we value in our staff and recognize in those who consistently make a positive impact on the people around them.

As we wrap up this year’s recognition, we thought it would be appropriate to look back and recognize everyone who has received a GOAT Award since we started presenting them in 2016.

While this list recognizes many deserving individuals, we also know there are countless others who have contributed to Pleasant View Golf Course over the years, including many before the GOAT Award was established. Just because someone hasn’t received this recognition doesn’t mean their contributions have gone unnoticed or unappreciated.

The GOAT Award has never been about recognizing the best employee. It’s about recognizing individuals who make PV what it is through their character, attitude, willingness to help others, and the way they treat the people around them.

To all of our GOAT Award recipients, past and present, thank you for everything you’ve done and, more importantly, for the people you are.

And to everyone who has been part of the PV team over the years, thank you for helping make this place what it is today.

We’re excited to recognize Jacob Beckman from our Golf Department as our fourth and final 2026 GOAT Award recipient!

GOAT stands for Genuine, Opportunistic, Admirable, and Teammate. These are qualities we value in our staff and recognize in those who consistently make a positive impact on the people around them.

Jacob’s genuine demeanor, kindness, and willingness to bring solutions to challenges rather than simply pointing out problems are just a few of the reasons he’s so deserving of this recognition.

Thank you, Jacob, for everything you do and, more importantly, for the person you are. We’re fortunate to have you as part of our Pleasant View team.

As we wrap up this year’s GOAT Awards, we also had the opportunity to hear from a few of our staff members about what this recognition means to them.

Congratulations to all four of our 2026 GOAT Award recipients—Mary Jane, Quinten, Kevin, and Jacob!

Yesterday, during our Halloween Open, we had the opportunity to recognize Kevin Peternell from our Food & Beverage Department as our third 2026 GOAT Award recipient!

GOAT stands for Genuine, Opportunistic, Admirable, and Teammate. These are qualities we value in our staff and recognize in those who consistently make a positive impact on the people around them.

Kevin’s can-do attitude, positive outlook, and willingness to step up and help others are just a few of the reasons he’s so deserving of this recognition.

Thank you, Kevin, for everything you do and, more importantly, for the person you are. We’re fortunate to have you as part of our Pleasant View team.

Stay tuned as we recognize our fourth and final recipient!

GOAT stands for Genuine, Opportunistic, Admirable, and Teammate. These are qualities we value in our staff and recognize in those who consistently make a positive impact on the people around them.

Thank you, Quinten, for everything you do and, more importantly, for the person you are. We’re fortunate to have you as part of our Pleasant View team.

Stay tuned as we recognize our remaining two recipients in the coming days!

Each year at Pleasant View Golf Course, we recognize four individuals with our GOAT Award.

GOAT stands for Genuine, Opportunistic, Admirable, and Teammate. These are qualities we value in our staff and recognize in those who consistently make a positive impact on the people around them.

Each season, we recognize one individual from each of our three departments—Golf, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage—along with one at-large recipient.

We’re excited to kick off our 2026 GOAT Award recognition by announcing Mary Jane as our first recipient!

Thank you, Mary Jane, for everything you do and, more importantly, for the person you are. We’re fortunate to have you as part of our Pleasant View team.

Stay tuned as we recognize our remaining three recipients in the coming days!

The ZYN Fairy is back and making magic happen!

Once again, cleaning up after those who apparently think urinals are the perfect place to dispose of their ZYN pouches.

A little consideration for our staff would go a long way!

And yes, hands were thoroughly washed afterward. Gloves probably would’ve been a good idea!

The past two days, Pleasant View had the privilege of hosting the Goat Hill Individual Championship, bringing some of the Midwest’s NCAA Division I college golfers to Middleton.

Watching these talented players take on PV was pretty special — incredible ball striking, competitive golf and plenty of great play throughout the championship.

Congratulations to John Markow of Southern Miss on his championship with a 54 hole total of -8!

A big thank you to all of the players, coaches and event organizers for making Pleasant View part of the championship.

We hope you enjoyed your time at PV — and we’d love to have you back!

Sometimes it’s the little things that say the most about your culture.

A golfer visiting us from Georgia wasn’t quite prepared for a chilly Wisconsin day, so Sue did what Sue does — she offered her own jacket for her to wear during the round.

No one asked her to. There wasn’t a policy or procedure. She simply saw an opportunity to take care of someone and did it.

That’s the kind of hospitality and kindness we want to be known for at Pleasant View.

So we surprised Sue with a new PVGC pullover of her own as a small thank you for representing our team so well.

Great job, Sue. This is what it’s all about.
