Round two of the day is in the books! The king salmon bite never really got going for us this afternoon, so we made a move and got on some lake trout instead.

The Lakers were much more cooperative and kept the action coming, making for a fun afternoon on the water with plenty of bent rods and smiling faces.

The morning started off strong! We couldn't seem to get the kings fired up, so we switched gears and found some hungry lake trout instead.

The Lakers were ready to play, and we had a great time putting a bend in the rods!

Yesterday called for something a little different. Had a request to hit an inland lake o catch a mixed bag and the day didn't disappoint. A number of nice pike, 5.6 pound walleye, and a big sheepshead.

This wrapped up the 5th type of trip this crew took with us. They've seen Manistee River, Lake Michigan, Detroit River, Saginaw Bay and now an inland.

Have went on a few charters with them and never get skunked. Even In not so great conditions, they somehow make it happen and that’s why I continue to book with them. They also have fair prices compared to a lot of others. Great conversations and very friendly. They Make u feel like family on their boat and not like it’s a job they have to do and is essentially just “work” for them. We have been on other charters where the crew aren’t as friendly and is more about business whereas Derek & Karla are total opposite and compassionate. They don’t stress to get you your fish and know how to chill and still get the job done. We booked again with them at the end of this last charter 😂🤣

A big thank you to Jessica, Chris, and Josh for spending the day on the water with Rippin Drag Charters!

It wasn't an easy bite and we had to put in the work, but persistence paid off and we managed to find a few fish. 😁

Not every trip is a fast-paced slam fest, but grinding it out and putting fish in the boat makes the reward that much sweeter. Thanks again for a great day and some good company on the water!

Spent the morning on the water with some great friends and managed to find a few fish along the way! 🎣

Lake Michigan's waves had other plans for us yesterday, so we switched to Plan B and made the most of it! 🎣

The crew headed inland and put together a fun mixed bag of fish. We landed some beautiful perch, smallmouth bass, a giant 27.5" sheepshead, and even a chunky 12.5" rock bass that definitely turned some heads!

A big thank you to Alex, Jessica, and Dan for rolling with the change of plans and making it a great day on the water. Sometimes the best adventures happen when you have to improvise!
