Another fun day chasing chrome on the Manistee River!

These steelhead sure aren't making it easy! Plenty of action, some hard fights, and a few fish that decided they weren't ready for the net! That's steelhead fishing, and it's what keeps us coming back for more!

Well, yesterday was an absolute blast on the River!
The steelhead definitely kept us on our toes! We lost more than we managed to get in the boat 😂, but the action was there and we had one heck of a time chasing chrome!

Steelhead season is officially underway, and we kicked it off with a bang

Jeff, Jordan, and Alan wasted no time putting some beautiful chrome in the boat! The highlight of the trip? An absolute tank of a steelhead tipping the scales at 12 pounds!

What a way to fire up the first official trip of the season! Huge thanks to these guys for coming out and getting the season rolling with Rippin Drag Charters!

The chrome is showing up, and we're ready for more! We've still got a few November dates available, and December has plenty of opportunities to get in on the action!

Steelhead season is officially underway!

Today we wrapped up the last of the cleaning and headed straight to the river to kick off steelhead season! And let’s just say… it did not disappoint!

The fish are showing up, the rods are bending, and we’re excited for another great season chasing these hard fighting steelhead!

Dates are filling fast! Here’s what we still have available for our first month:

October 31st November 1st, 22nd, 28th & 29th

We’re booking trips all the way through March, so be sure to reach out and lock in your dates before they’re gone!

2026 was one heck of a ride on Lake Michigan!

Big kings, rippin drags, bent rods, and some awesome crews!

A huge shoutout to everyone who jumped aboard Rippin Drag Charters this year! We made some incredible memories, shared a lot of laughs, and put some serious fish in the boat! We couldn't do what we love without your support, and we can't thank you enough!

2027... we're coming for ya!

Books are officially open, and those prime August dates are already filling fast! Let's get your crew on the calendar and make some more memories!

**When to get in on the action:**

- **Late May – July:** Awesome Lake Trout fishing and early-season Kings!
- **Late July – Early September:** Big, mature Kings! This is the time to chase those Lake Michigan giants and hear those drags scream!
