A Renewed Mindset Blessings! My name is Amanda Mathews and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor at A Renewed Mindset.

I hold a Bachelor in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I facilitate growth & change by coaching & teaching meditation, mindfulness skills, how to: restructure thinking, regulate emotions & behaviors, tolerate stress, communicate effectively, set healthy boundaries, as well as processing underlying trauma. These skills will help you on your journey to having a happy, healthy & fulfilling life.

Not so fun fact: Our brains work overtime trying to protect us from remembering all of the details. It’s a survival tactic that happens unintentionally, which is partially why EMDR is so helpful for individuals who have experienced trauma that they’re unable to process through regular talk therapy!
