🌟STAFF SPOTLIGHT: LOGAN🌟
Meet Logan, one of the familiar faces you’ll see around Vertical View!
Logan has been climbing for about 3 years, but climbing has been part of his life much longer than that. His dad was a climber when he was younger and would occasionally take Logan climbing growing up. After attending a climbing activity with his church youth group, Logan caught the climbing bug and decided to dive into the sport more seriously.
One of Logan’s favorite things about working at Vertical View is the people. He loves sharing climbing knowledge, hearing others’ life stories, and watching climbers progress and achieve their goals. Whether someone is learning to belay, sending their first route, or pushing into harder grades, Logan enjoys being part of that journey.
If he could give one piece of advice to new climbers, it would be:
“Have fun with it and climb as much as you can. Don’t be afraid to try things that seem too hard for you.”
When he’s not climbing, Logan stays busy with photography, woodworking, learning guitar, and just about any activity that lets him move in new ways, including parkour, dancing, and other movement-based sports.
Comfort food: Pho 🍜
Dream climbing destinations:
🇨🇭 Switzerland for the incredible outdoor climbing
🇯🇵 Japan for its unique and creative indoor climbing culture
Fun Facts:
🌄 He once put 2,000 miles on a Onewheel in just three months
🌄 He enjoys making climbing holds
🌄 He hates waking up early… unless it’s for climbing. Then 1:00–5:00 AM somehow becomes acceptable
Favorite question to be asked:
“What’s for dinner?”
He probably won’t know the answer, but feel free to ask anyway.
Next time you see Logan around the gym, ask him about climbing, photography, making holds, or what he’s having for dinner. Just don’t expect a definitive answer on that last one. 😄
