Congratulations to Rayna Corral for being named AAGA's Gymnast of the Week for the week of June 8, 2026.

Rayna showed true determination this week by working on new skills in all four events. She is learning to recognize and acknowledge her fears and, instead of shying away from the challenge, works to figure out a solution. Rayna is a great example to her teammates on how to work through fears and frustration in a productive way. We are so proud and happy to have Rayna as part of our team and can't wait to see her shine in the upcoming competition season!

Each week, AAGA coaches will vote on a gymnast of the week. The gymnast who most demonstrates the qualities of dedication, determination, teamwork, sportmanship, and leadership will be announced the following Monday on social media. Congratulations to Kensie Fuhrman for being named AAGA's Gymnast of the Week for the week of June 1, 2026.

Kensie exemplified the qualities AAGA values in a competitive gymnast. She showed resilience and dedication in her practice times by working on new skills and continuing her rehab after an injury. She always shows good teamwork and sportsmanship by helping set up drills and helping younger teammates. She is becoming a true leader of our team!

We are so happy and proud to have Kensie as part of our team. The lessons she learns in the gym are helping her to become a strong, confident young woman.

AAGA will be closed May 25-30 for our early summer/end of session break!

There will be no team or pre-team practice, no classes, and no open gym during this time.

We will reopen on Monday, June 1, with the start of our summer classes and team schedules!

Mackenzie is a senior at Mentor High school and is a member of AAGA’s Xcel Sapphire team. She has been doing gymnastics for 12 years. In 2023 she was the Xcel Platinum Regional Vault Champion. Mackenzie has also been an instructor at AAGA for the past three years. Mackenzie will be attending the University of Dayton to study environmental science. In her time away from the gym, she enjoys drawing. Mackenzie is the epitome of hard work and determination. She continued to level up her gymnastics skills with each passing year. Her light-hearted attitude and positive coaching will be greatly missed! We wish Mackenzie all the best in her new adventures!
