There’s just something special about summer nights on the water.

The sun sinking below the horizon, a gentle chop on the lake, and two rods working behind the boat as you chase that next walleye. Some nights the fish cooperate, some nights they make you work for it—but every sunset spent on the water is time well spent.

One of our go-to summertime walleye presentations on Lake Oahe is tough to beat: a Mack's Lure Smile Blade paired with a slow-death hook and a juicy nightcrawler. 🎣

Most of the time, the walleyes can't resist it... but every now and then, they get a little sneaky! As you can see in this photo, this fish was doing its best to steal the crawler without finding the hook. 😂

It's a simple setup that consistently puts fish in the boat and remains a staple in our summer arsenal when chasing Oahe walleyes.

There’s just something about spring nights on the backroads that gets us antsy for fall and hunting season.

The smell of fresh dirt, fields starting to green up, dogs riding shotgun, and endless gravel roads ahead… it’s hard not to start thinking about crisp mornings, flushing birds, and everything that comes with another season in the outdoors.

Most anglers know it as a world-class walleye destination, but what really surprised us was just how unreal the smallmouth bass fishing was out there. Absolute tanks and nonstop action made for an unforgettable trip!

Things got up close and personal recently for our very own Ryan Gabriel on a turkey hunt down in Nebraska! 🦃🔥
