FUTURES 🥈🥈🏅

At the Futures Championships in Austin, Eleanor raced to second place and made Senior Nationals qualifying times in the 100m freestyle (56.47) and 50m butterfly (27.16). She also made A finals in the 50m free (6th place, 26.22) and B finals in the 100m butterfly (11th, 1:02.98), and dropped time in every event. 

Eleanor was recently awarded USA Swimming Academic All-American and High School All-American.

SUMMER JR NATIONALS QUALIFIER! 

In her Futures debut in Austin, Bri Chamberland, 15, advanced to the B Finals in the 50m breaststroke, taking 12th place overall with a time of 33.84. Her prelims time (33.59) was a >1 second drop off her best, and qualified her for Summer Junior Nationals - the fastest meet in the country for 18&Under swimmers. 

Bri took 57th place in the 100m breaststroke (1:18.08), and her time trial in the 50m freestyle (27.19) was a >1 second time drop and a new Futures qualifying time.

Bri, your work ethic, speed, and improvement are truly amazing!

WINTER JR NATIONALS QUALIFIER!

At the Futures Championship meet in Austin, Texas, Myles blasted his 50m freestyle, winning the D Final and taking 25th place overall. He made his first Winter Junior Nationals qualifying time (24.02). Myles also posted PRs in the 100m free (54.06) and 100m butterfly (1:02.16).

STATE CHAMPION + FINALIST.

Congrats to Naiya for her blazing 
fast gold medal swims in the 100m butterfly (1:05.10) and 200m butterfly at the summer state championships. Her 200 fly time of 2:24.62 was the fastest female swim at the meet, and one of the fastest swims among 13 year olds in the country! And congrats to Erika for her amazing races, including her finals swims in the 50m butterfly (6th, 30.48) and 50m breaststroke (8th, 37.92). These amazing athletes just keep getting faster and stronger!

HAZEL, STATE CHAMP BUTTERFLYER (AGAIN!)

Special shoutout to Hazel, who swam a beastly lineup of events at the recent summer state championship. She came from behind in the last five meters of the 100m butterfly, winning the gold medal by 0.01 seconds, and dropped more than 6 seconds off her best time. Back in March, Hazel also came from behind to win the 100 yard fly at the short course state championships. This repeat champ is all heart!

BABY RAPID ARRIVING SOON!

It was so much fun celebrating Coach Jeremy and his wife Maddy at the Rogue X today. We cannot wait to meet our littlest Rogue Rapid when she arrives in June!
