Final Tryout Night This Tuesday

As we finalize our 13U roster for the 2026–2027 season, we’re seeking experienced, competitive players to join an established program built on player development, high-level competition, and a positive family atmosphere.

Registration for the 2026 Field of Screams is open on TourneyMachine. Last year we hosted a combined 70 baseball and softball teams for this tournament, and expect this to fill quickly.

Due to the earlier rainout, our 13u Mattoon Pride Baseball tryout dates will be:

1) Monday July 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Mattoon High School baseball field.

2) Tuesday July 21st from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at our indoor facility located at 81 Shelby Ave, Mattoon.

Competitive team with roster spots available for the upcoming season. Attending both tryout dates are preferred, but only one is required. If unable to attend either date, please reach out for a private tryout.

Good luck to our 8U Mattoon Pride baseball team as they head into their final tournament of the season!

As we head into our final tournament of the season at the Pinto International Classic this weekend, we would like to take a minute to recognize this special group of boys.

This team has put together an incredible season: 46-6 record, 7 tournament championships, 1 runner-up finish, 1,176 hits with a .674 team batting average, 45 home runs including 16 over the fence, 788 runs scored and 26 double plays.

At times, it was easy to forget you were watching 7- and 8-year-old boys play baseball. They played smart, fun, and exciting baseball and had a lot of fun doing it.

A huge thank you to our Mattoon Pride Athletics sponsors, and to this wonderful group of players, coaches, parents, siblings, grandparents, and supporters who have made this season so memorable.

Follow along this weekend on GameChanger starting on Friday with games vs Murphysboro and Mt. Vernon and on Saturday vs Shenzhen China! Bracket play will begin on Sunday.
