Update: Starting today and everyday for the summer from 10am to 5pm Highland will be having a beverage cart and someone designated to help run drinks or snacks to anyone. They will occasionally drive the back nine to keep an eye on golfers and bring beverages to groups. Please call clubhouse if you need anything 641-423-9693.
With summer here and the course improving, we have had a good amount of outside guests playing and increase in memberships playing also. We are very lucky to have an increase of 34 new members this year and 16 new junior members. We have 51 great little junior member golfers out here not counting family pass holders children. What does this mean... we need to be patient and help grow the game while these kids learn. Reminder it takes longer to carry or push your golf clubs then it does on some of these personal carts that go 20 plus mph down the fairway.
We are a very busy as you can tell by our tee sheets these past few days. We need to remind players if you are coming out as a single or two-some please do not expect to play in 3 hours or less. Come out enjoy the game, converse with your playing partner, please keep up pace with group in front. If the group in front is playing in under 4 hours then you are playing to fast.
