PHF Karate wants to recognize Teriyaki Shorti , a.k.a. Terjuana Short, for all she has accomplished in a short amount of time (no pun intended). A little over a year ago coach Darrius Flowers brought her into the gym and we started working with her, Darrius has an eye for seeing talent and she has not disappointed. Terjuana did her first jiujitsu tournament this past weekend, she went 2-0 and brought home the gold. She is also 3-0 in kickboxing and to date remains undefeated in combat sports. We are excited for her MMA debut later this year, keep grinding and keep believing.

Making his DCS debut, Iowa's Sam Knox travels to Omaha to take on hometown favorite Zayden Edwards in an amateur bantamweight showdown at Summer Kickoff 2026.
For Knox, it's an opportunity to make a statement in his first appearance under the DCS banner. For Edwards, it's a chance to defend home turf in front of the Omaha crowd.

Expect a fast-paced battle when these bantamweights step into the cage.
