RE: HEAD TRASH
I remember making excuses as a young player. My mentor would say “Thats Head Trash”.

“Head trash” is basically all the mental clutter that gets in the way of who you actually are and what you’re capable of… excuses, doubts, overthinking, fear of failing, fear of succeeding, worrying about what people think, replaying mistakes, all of it. It’s the junk that piles up in your mind and talks you out of doing the thing you know you should do.

Eliminating head trash is a life skill to learn, not just a sports skill. This applies to coaching, business, relationships, leadership…everything.
The people who grow are the ones who learn to take out their mental trash regularly.

Most head trash disappears the moment you start doing the thing you were avoiding.
