Let me take you back to a time when my wife and I were knee-deep in the hustle of building our business. We were both passionate, driven, and ready to take on the world.
But there was one thing we didn’t account for: the way we communicated—or, more accurately, the way we didn’t communicate.
I remember one particular instance where a small disagreement about a business decision escalated into a full-blown argument.
We were speaking the same language, but our communication styles were worlds apart. I wanted to solve the problem quickly, while she needed time to process and think things through.
It felt like we were on different planets, and it wasn’t until we sat down and really talked—really listened—that we began to understand each other.
That moment was a turning point for us.
We realized that effective communication isn’t just about talking; it’s about understanding the other person’s perspective, respecting their style, and finding common ground. This is especially crucial when your partner is not just your life partner but also your business partner.
If you’re building something together, remember that your success doesn’t just hinge on your business strategies or hard work. It hinges on how well you communicate, how deeply you connect, and how much you value each other’s input.
I’ve created a free mini course that shows to bring back that connect and communication! Comment the word COURSE and I’ll send it over.
