The retreat house is officially booked, and I have to admit, seeing it all come together makes this feel very real.

As I was looking through the photos, I found myself thinking about all the seasons where God has met me near the ocean.

Some of the clearest direction I’ve received for my life, my business, and my family didn’t come when I was working harder. It came when I finally created enough space to hear Him clearly.

For me, the beach has always been one of those places. It’s where I go when I need perspective.

It’s where I process, pray, dream, and sometimes wrestle through the things that need to be released before I can step into what’s next.

That’s a big part of why we’re gathering in Newport Beach next October.

This isn’t about escaping life for a few days. It’s about creating the kind of environment where real transformation can happen.

The truth is, the room you’re in matters. The women around you influence the standards you live by, the conversations you entertain, the risks you’re willing to take, and often the future you believe is possible.

We’ll spend three days together restoring, realigning, and releasing.

We’ll have meaningful conversations about leadership, stewardship, business, faith, and the stories we’re carrying into the next season. There will be exclusive mentorship, prayer, incredible meals, laughter, and plenty of time to slow down long enough to hear what God is saying.

What excites me most isn’t the house, the ocean view, or even the experience itself. It’s the woman who will leave different than she arrived.

The right room doesn’t just grow your business. It grows the woman leading it.

As I continue praying over this retreat, I genuinely feel like there is one more woman who is supposed to be in this room with us.

For nearly five years, I worked as a TV news anchor and reporter.

Every day, my job was to tell stories.
Many of them were difficult ones. Crime scenes. Fires. Tragedy. Breaking news.

There was an old saying in the newsroom: “If it bleeds, it leads.”

Looking back, what fascinates me is that I still work in stories today.

The difference is that now I help leaders find the stories they were meant to tell.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, “I don’t really have a story.”

What I’ve found is that most people don’t lack a story. They underestimate the value of what they’ve lived through.

The business failure that taught them resilience.
The season that strengthened their faith.
The setback that reshaped their perspective.
The lesson they learned the hard way.
Those experiences often become the very thing that builds trust, creates connection, and helps others believe what’s possible.

The longer I do this work, the more convinced I become that your greatest authority is rarely found in a title, certification, or accomplishment.

It’s often found in the story behind it.

There is one spot remaining inside the Aligned & Assigned Inner Circle.

This October, we’ll gather oceanfront in Newport Beach for our annual retreat, and I can’t think of a better place for what we’ll be doing together.

The beach has always been a place of restoration for me.

It’s where I go to get quiet with the Lord, realign with what matters most, release what I’ve been carrying, and gain clarity for what’s ahead.

That’s exactly what this retreat is designed to create.

A space to restore.
A space to realign.
A space to release.

Not just in business, but personally, professionally and spiritually.

Your calling will cost you and that’s okay. ❤️

Saying goodbye at the Army base, knowing it will be awhile until you see them again… that’s what it really means to go all in on God’s plan.

But here’s the truth: your calling is bigger than your comfort. It will cost time, proximity, and the life you planned. And it’s still worth it.

My love ❤️ I am honored to be your wife.

Watching you cross this first finish line was filled with so much excitement, deeper love and gratitude for your sacrifice and our future together.

I am in awe of how these last several weeks have refined you as a man and a leader.

I am still speechless on how this experience so far has hit a “reset” button on our marriage as we both have become a better version of ourselves that we both have alway deserved from one another.

The Lord is blowing my mind through all of this.

As challenging as it is to say “see you soon” yet again for a few more months, I have so much peace knowing you are exactly where you are supposed to be. You are in your calling, my love.

You will have nothing less than my full support all the way. I can’t wait to see where we go next, together.

I love you more than I ever knew I could because of this. Thank you, Jesus 🙏🏼 it’s surreal and I am so grateful it is real.

One thing I’ve noticed after years of helping people uncover their stories is that the story they think is the least important is often the one that creates the deepest connection.

Most people want to talk about their accomplishments, credentials, or what they do. And while those things matter, they are rarely the stories people remember.

The stories people remember are usually hidden inside a difficult season, a turning point, a failure, a lesson learned the hard way, or a moment that changed how they see the world.

Those are the stories that help people trust you.

I see this all the time. Someone comes to me convinced they don’t have much of a story to tell, and then as we start pulling back the layers, we uncover experiences that shaped who they are, how they lead, and why they care so deeply about the work they do today.

Parts of my story wrapped in caution tape trying to preserve myself, but that preservation was actually disobedience wrapped in caution.

Many of us have experienced things that we want to keep in the shadows hoping it never makes the light of day. I’ve been there too.

That story for me, that hid for years, that I thought would break me or disqualify me is the very story that God used to elevate my faith, influence, impact, business and much more for His glory.
