Saturday night, our boys’ season came to an end after an all-out battle with the Lawrenceburg Tigers. While the result wasn’t what we had hoped for, this group showed incredible resilience, heart, and determination until the very last whistle.
After falling behind early in the second half, the boys continued to fight, and William Overpeck brought us level at 1-1 with a great finish off a beautiful cross from Henry Schmidt. With the rain pouring down, Lawrenceburg found the back of the net just minutes later to regain the lead and eventually secure a 2-1 victory.
Madison finishes the season with an outstanding 14-4-1 record, and these boys have every reason to hold their heads high. They left everything they had on that field, and we couldn’t be prouder of their effort, commitment, and growth throughout the season.
To our seniors, thank you for everything you have given to this program. Your leadership, dedication, and impact will not be forgotten.
To our athletic department, fans, supporters, players, and families, THANK YOU! Your support and love throughout this season mean more than you know. We are incredibly grateful to have such a great community behind us, and we will continue working to make MADISON proud as we build this program year after year.
While this chapter has come to a close, the work never stops. We’re already looking forward to the offseason and finding ways to get better, grow together, and come back stronger.
14-4-1. Nothing left on the field. Nothing but pride.
Until next season… ⚽️
