That's a wrap on the spring season for the Trouble boys. The boys played in the USSSA Under Armour Championship this weekend in Macon. They played great ball on saturday going 2-0 and locking down the #2 seed barely missing out on the one seed.

Sunday saw the boys play a close game against the three seed but come up short as they lost 6-4.

The boys had plenty of ups and downs this season but throughout it all they stuck together and got better as a team and individuals. We move to 13u in the fall which will bring a new set of challenges as we move to 60/90 to prepare the boys for middle school.

Last but not least we need to give a shout out to four players who hit homeurns this past weekend. Kaden Harpe, Liam Howard, Shaw Pierson and Grant Courson all went deep on Saturday.

Tough weekend recap for the Trouble boys. Between rain, long delays and tough opponents the boys went 0-3 this weekend. Like I told the boys after the game on sunday, there are no excuses we have to play better and figure out a way to win close games. We have our last tournament of the spring in two weeks and we will work our tails off to get prepared and bounce back to end on a good note for what has been a very successful season.

It wasn't all bad news though. We have a new member of the bomb squad as Shaw Pierson hit his first homerun on Saturday. Congrats Shaw!

This weekend the Trouble boys played close to home in the USSSA Battle of I-75. Saturday, saw the boys go 2-0 to take the #1 seed as they played well in all areas of the game. Great pitching, timely hitting and solid defense.

Our Bible verse today was Matthew 6: 33-34.

[33] But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. [34] Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

A few of the boys struggled on Saturday and I really felt that this verse played into what we are trying to teach them. Next play, next pitch, next game.

The championship game saw the boys come out a little cold and we fell behind 2-0 early. Some days you just can't buy a hit and that's the way it went. Hard hits balls right at people while other balls fell right in against us. We ultimately battled hard but fell 5-2 in the championship game.

We will get back in the building this week for a hard week of practice before we head to Dublin this weekend.

We want to give a huge shoutout to four players who hit homeruns on Saturday.

Connor Bloodworth hit his first of the year in game one.
Davis Wolfe hit his first ever homerun, a grand slam in game one.
Grant Courson hit his first ever homerun, a two run bomb in game two.
Peyton Hunnicutt hit his first ever homerun, a three run bomb in game two.
Congrats boys.

Happy Mother's Day to all of our Trouble moms.

Proverbs 31:27-31 NIV
[27] She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. [28] Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: [29] “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” [30] Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. [31] Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
