🏆 SPL/PBS KICKOFF TOURNAMENT RECAP 🎳
What a weekend! We can’t thank everyone enough for coming out and supporting the SPL/PBS Kickoff Tournament. The support from the bowling community means the world to us, and this weekend was a great way to kick off the new season!
Saturday brought out 44 doubles teams, with Tony Galvan & David Lee Fabia taking home the win and the $1,600 first-place prize! Congratulations to them and all 9 teams that cashed! 💰
Sunday we followed it up with 69 bowlers in the Singles event, with Caiden Donaghey coming out on top and taking home $800 for first! Congratulations to Caiden and all 14 singles cashers! 🏆
There was plenty of action all weekend with brackets, high-game pots, raffles, giveaways, and our last-game Winner Take All pots! Saturday’s Winner Take All paid $540, won by Scott McCleery with a 251, and Sunday’s paid $300, won by John Hanel with a huge 290! 🔥
We also saw some BIG scores! Aiden Veretto fired the only 300 game of the weekend, while Jonah Kowalczyk came one shot away with a 299! Congratulations, guys! 🎯
Thanks to everyone’s support, we were able to raffle off 2 bowling balls of choice, a 3-ball tote, 2 PBS shirts, and 2 PBS Shammies! Even better, the money raised through the raffles allowed us to put additional money right back into the tournament prize fund. That’s exactly what we want these events to be about.
