🥎 A HUMBLING TWO-WEEKEND STRETCH, BUT THE STANDARD DOESN’T CHANGE. 🐍

Last weekend in Oklahoma, we got our butts kicked and walked away with only one win. It was a reality check that humbled us and reminded us how important it is to have a COMPLETE TEAM working together toward the same goal.

Then we came back to Midland, and unfortunately, we got our butts kicked again. Two tough weekends, two opportunities to learn, and a lot of things we need to work on. Sometimes the game has a way of showing you exactly where you stand and what needs to change.

This past weekend in Midland, our sticks just weren’t working the way we know they can. Our defense showed up, but offensively, we struggled to execute. A few minor mistakes here and there made a difference, and that’s part of the learning process. You win together, you lose together, and you learn together.

These girls want it. We see the desire, the potential, and the fight in them. But wanting it is only one part of the equation. We have to put in the work, build chemistry, trust one another, and come together more consistently as a team. Talent alone won’t get us where we want to be. It takes every girl buying in and doing her part.

As WTX Lady Vipers, we have a goal, a standard, and expectations that we intend to uphold. We’re not here just to show up and play. We’re here to compete, grow, and become the team we know we can be. That takes commitment, accountability, communication, and everyone pulling in the same direction.

We have to be willing to look in the mirror, own our mistakes, and put in the work when nobody is watching. No pointing fingers, no excuses — just growth, hard work, and a team that refuses to settle.

These last two weekends may not have gone the way we wanted, but they can either break us or build us. The choice is ours. We have a lot of work ahead of us, and it starts with coming together as ONE TEAM.

The standard doesn’t change because we have a tough weekend. The work just has to get harder. We’re the Vipers, and we have a lot more to prove. 🐍🦾🥎

This would be considered a local tournament, but with players from all over the state of Texas and New Mexico there is no such thing as local. As always we are ready to compete against some really good teams.

WTX Lady Vipers–Ramirez are headed to Midland, TX, for the Alliance West Texas Championship Qualifier! 💪🏆

This weekend is about more than just winning games. It’s about competing with purpose, playing together as one, trusting our preparation, and proving what happens when hard work meets opportunity. Every pitch, every swing, every defensive play, and every stolen base matters!

The goal is to compete at the highest level and earn that BID! 🎟️ These girls have put in the work, and now it’s time to bring the energy, stay locked in, and leave it all on the field.

Saturday everything went our way. Sunday was a different story. Our first bracket game started off with a line drive hit directly to the center fielder. That would be how our day would play out. Ball after ball hit straight to defenders. Not the way we wanted the day to go but nonetheless these girls never gave up. They fought till the last out.
