Want a STRONG core after 40? 👇
Ladies, crunches aren’t going to cut it anymore.
We need to train the core the way we actually use it in real life — not just flexing the spine over and over.

Think:
💪 Stabilizing the spine
💪 Involving the shoulders + hips
💪 Rotation
💪 Different planes of movement
💪 Different movement patterns

These 4 exercises challenge your core in a much more comprehensive way — and when you train your core this way, you’ll start to feel the difference in your everyday life.

Better stability. Better movement. More strength. Less “my back feels cranky when I do ______.”

Save this video and add these to your workouts!

We’re obsessed with being skinny… but are we forgetting about our brains?

I watched a video from neurosurgeon Dr. Rod Oskouian that really made me stop and think.

We put SO much emphasis on weight loss and how our bodies look, but especially for women in midlife and beyond, we need to be thinking about brain, heart, bone, and muscle health.

As estrogen declines, women become more vulnerable to changes in multiple systems—including cognitive health, cardiovascular health, bone density, and muscle mass.

So just like we strength train to protect our muscles and bones, we need to challenge and stimulate our brains.

Here are 4 things I regularly do:
🧠 Wordle every morning — first thing with my coffee!
🪥 Brush my teeth with my opposite hand — forces my brain out of autopilot.
🦵🏼 Leg day — strength training and lower-body exercise benefit far more than just your muscles.
💪🏼 Creatine daily — I take it as part of my strategy for supporting muscle and brain health.

And there are SO many other things we can do: learn new skills, stay socially connected, exercise, prioritize sleep, manage stress, and keep our brains challenged.

Stop making “skinny” the ultimate health goal.

I want women to be strong, capable, cognitively healthy, mobile, independent, and energetic for decades to come.
Your health is so much more than what you see in the mirror.

Save this and send it to a woman who needs the reminder!

I finally made the viral Dirty Cabbage recipe… and of course, I modified it.
Because if Finley is eating it, I’m taking the spice level DOWN.

So we skipped the jalapeños and chili seasoning and kept ours super simple:
🥬 1 head green cabbage
🫑 1 red pepper
🧅 1 onion
🌮 1 packet Siete taco seasoning
🌶️ Smoked paprika
🧂 Salt + pepper to taste
🥩 1 lb 93/7 lean ground turkey
🥩 1 lb 93/7 lean grass-fed ground beef

Brown the meat, chop everything up, dump it all into one pan, and let it cook down.
THAT’S IT.
We served ours over rice, and I didn’t even make that complicated. I used a steamable packet of rice that took about 3 minutes.

This made a BIG batch, so we’ve got plenty for leftovers—which is exactly what I want from a weeknight meal.
And this is why I love meals like this:
✔️ High volume
✔️ Lots of fiber
✔️ High in protein
✔️ Lower calorie
✔️ Super filling
✔️ Easy to prep
✔️ Great for leftovers
✔️ Family-friendly
✔️ Basically ONE PAN

You can eat a LOT of this without blowing your calorie budget, which is exactly the kind of meal I want in my rotation.
Healthy eating does NOT need to mean complicated recipes, 17 ingredients, or spending your entire Sunday meal prepping.

Sometimes it’s literally chop + dump + cook.

And if you’re looking for help getting started, I have two options:
💪 Strength & Flow — My 6-week program for $99. You get a high-protein meal plan, recipes, pre- & post-workout nutrition guide, 7-day mobility challenge, fiber resources, and a complete strength program.
🔥 Fuel & Flow — If you want more coaching, accountability, and customization with your exercise programming and nutrition, my next session starts September 10th.

Comment CABBAGE and I’ll send you the details on the programs.

And SAVE this recipe for the next time you need an easy, high-protein, high-volume dinner!

Pilates Is Great. But Is It Enough for Your Bones? 🦴

If you love Pilates, keep doing it. This is NOT anti-Pilates.

But we need to stop pretending that Pilates alone provides the same stimulus as progressive resistance training—especially as women move through midlife.

In a 10-month study discussed by Belinda Beck, women who participated in Pilates experienced about a 1.5% decrease in bone mineral density (BMD). The takeaway isn't that Pilates is bad. It's that our bones need a specific mechanical stimulus to maintain and build strength.

And that stimulus is resistance training.
For women in midlife and beyond, I want to see at least 2 days of resistance training per week. Even if that's just:
🏋️‍♀️ 1 upper-body session
🏋️‍♀️ 1 lower-body session
You don't need a massive gym setup. You don't need to lift for an hour. You need consistency and progressive overload.

And please don't let the current obsession with being as small or as skinny as possible distract you from what actually matters for long-term health.

Strong bones. Strong muscles. Strong body.
This is exactly why I created my new Strong & Flow program. 💪

✔️ 6-week resistance training program
✔️ 2 strength workouts per week
✔️ Upper + lower body split
✔️ Minimal equipment
✔️ Designed for home or gym
✔️ Built for women in midlife
✔️ Plus mobility work to keep you moving well
✔️ Only $99

Don't wait until a fracture or osteoporosis diagnosis forces you to start thinking about strength.

Start building the body you want to have 10, 20, and 30 years from now.
