This Friday is Mat Pilates class #2 in our summer series! Last week we learned the first 5 exercises in Joseph Pilates’ Classical order (see previous post for breakdown). This week, we are tackling exercises 6 through 10 shown in these photos. And if you’re following along: your homework will be to then practice exercises 1 through 10 on your own so the following Friday we can add on 5 more!
Does memorizing this order sound complicated and overwhelming? No worries, we will write the order on the chalkboard in the studio for easy reference! But I do want to point out that learning something new which incorporates your mind and body is a great skill! Often times we hit an age as an adult where learning new things becomes rare and living a life of repetition becomes normalized. Let’s shake things up a bit and challenge ourselves together this summer!
