The past 5 days here has been a Lot. HEAT.
5 days of an EPIC clinic with Horsemanship in the mornings building into Stockmanship with a great group of calves from Kleinschmidt's Western Store then an afternoon/evening of Intro to Roping Classes EACH DAY.
As a Clinic Host I have NOT got to post all of the pictures yet of all of these riders from all over, but I want you to know I RODE the first two days (I know crazy) and it was some of the best roping instruction I've ever had.
Riders from CANADA. Wisconsin, Missouri, Illinois and more but know that Cal Middleton Horsemanship gave us all a try at at legit roping cattle (with a lot of prep work) and DO IT.
On Day 5 multiple riders HEADED and HEELED and stretched out calves to doctor as needed.
Thank you Cal Middleton for showing us how to handle our ropes, how to dally without losing our thumbs and fingers, how to track the dummy and calves, softness, and how to feel your horses foot track.
All while using techniques Cal has learned from SO MANY teachers. Cal is always always learning and he proves it by travelling and riding with so many other gifted MASTER horseman/horsewomen.
