First tournament is in the books.

We stepped up and played at a higher caliber level this weekend, finishing 1-3, but that record doesn’t tell the whole story. These girls competed. They battled. They showed they belong on the field with good teams.

We finished the weekend against Coach Bean and an absolutely loaded team, and I’m proud of the way our girls continued to compete until the end.

There’s been plenty of noise. People telling these girls they aren’t good enough, questioning what we’re doing, and waiting for us to fail. That’s fine. We’re not going to spend our time responding to it. We’ll use it as motivation.

A lot of really good things happened this weekend. We saw growth, toughness, and flashes of what this team can become. We also found some things we need to clean up, and that’s exactly why we chose to play this level of competition.

We didn’t build this team to chase easy wins. We built it to get better.

Now it’s back to work. Keep learning. Keep competing. Keep getting better.

The noise can stay where it is. We’ve got work to do.

Pool play game number three, ultimately ended in a loss. What started out as a 13-0 game, quickly turned into a 13-8 game, with our girls scoring 8 runs in one inning. Not only are we working out the kinks but we’re learning to trust each other and remain optimistic—even in losing moments. 🖤

It also did not help us that both teams were battling the elements today with back to back rain storms.😣

The astonishing thing about this group of girls is their ability to bounce back, learn, grow and come out tougher than before.

We play again tonight at 830pm and we are ready to show everyone what it means to comeback.

We’re here to make an impact. 💪🏼

Two games deep and these girls are hitting, playing strong defense and are vibing like one cohesive unit.

EXTREMELY proud of these girls tonight!!

We knew coming into this tournament we were stepping into a whole different level of softball—and boy, did these girls COMPETE!

They came out, gave it everything they had, and showed they belong on that field. We got those first-game jitters out of the way… now it’s time to come back ready tomorrow! 🖤

Proud is an understatement. Let’s keep fighting, Impact!

Your silly personality, the way you hype your team mates up and your ability to be a team leader has left us all beyond impressed with you.

First tournament of the fall and we’re jumping straight into the fire.

Impact Caymol - Palmer 13U is headed to the PGF Super Select Fall Championship this weekend, and we couldn’t be more excited to see this group compete.

We didn’t put this team together to chase easy wins or worry about what anybody else is doing. We built it to challenge our girls, put them in uncomfortable situations, and give them opportunities to grow against some of the best competition we can find.

There will always be people watching from the outside. There will always be opinions. That’s okay. 😁

While others talk, we’ll work.
While others watch, we’ll compete.
And while others worry about our path, we’ll keep building it.

This weekend is just the beginning.

HERE WE GO!!! 🔥🥎

Are we going to be out of our comfort zone? Probably.

Are we going to face some teams that challenge us, push us, and maybe even expose some things we need to work on? ABSOLUTELY.

And you know what? THAT’S THE POINT.

As my girls love to mock me saying… “COMPLACENCY KILLS!” and “DON’T GET COMPLACENT!” 😂

But there’s a reason I say it so much.

Challenge yourself as an athlete. Get uncomfortable. Play better competition. Face better pitching. Make mistakes. Learn from them. Get punched in the mouth a little and figure out how to respond. THAT is how you grow.

Rings are cool. Championships are fun. We absolutely want to win every time we step between those lines. But recruiters aren’t looking at how many rings you have sitting on your dresser.

They’re looking at how you COMPETE.

How do you respond when things aren’t going your way? How do you handle pressure? Can you adjust? Can you battle? Can you compete against athletes who are just as good—or better—than you?

We’re not chasing easy.

We’re chasing GROWTH. We’re chasing DEVELOPMENT. We’re chasing the opportunity to become better softball players and better competitors.

So get uncomfortable. Get challenged. Compete your tail off.

And whatever you do…
