This is what we're all about.
A friend sent this picture to me after our championship game. It's someone's little brother, looking out at his older brother's team as they celebrate their state championship. He said, "I'm excited for it to someday be my turn."
He's probably been dragged to every game this season, where he loves to help chase down stray balls. He knows most of the boys on the team by name and gets excited when they say hi to him after games. During halftime he dribbles around on the field with all of the other younger brothers. Right now he's probably imagining what it might be like when he grows up and wears his older brother's number. He's dreaming of greatness, and he's been inspired by this current generation of players. Maeser soccer is about honoring the tradition that we've inherited from those players who came before us, and building the legacy for those who will come after us. Like this little brother. It'll be your turn to wear the badge soon enough, little buddy.
