Fall Shootout, Cedar Lake Arena - 10/23 recap:

Both girls in r-box class, Payten in blue plate and Kendall in green plate. 192 kart entries over all the classes 😳

🧡 Payten: not sure what was up with her, didnt seem too focused on racing honestly 🤷🏽‍♀️ She did end up 3rd in points for their ‘Scorching Saturday’ series of races that happened throughout the season.

Qualifying: 7 out of 7
Feature: 7th -> 5th

🩷 Kendall: first time arena racing and with these fast kids, she definitely was nervous but she didnt let it stop her! She got out there and certainly didn’t look like a new driver to the class!

Qualifying: 11 out of 11
Feature: 10th -> 7th, up 3 spots! 👏🏼

Thanks to the crew at Cedar Lake for a great event and great racing surface!

Good luck to all our friends still out there racing the second portion of the weekend events today! 💪🏼

Little Buckaroos - Championship day, 10/4 recap:

What fun day to close out our season of local racing! Both girls raced in r-box and both did really well.

Payten:
Heat 1: 4th -> 2nd
Heat 2: 2nd -> 1st 🏁
Feature: 1st -> 1st 🏁🏆

This was Payten’s 15th feature win of the year and she was able to also earn the championship in the r-box class! 👏🏼 There were some trying weeks at the track but she was able to stay focused and she drove her heart out, week after week.

Kendall:
Heat 1: 5th -> 4th
Heat 2: 1st -> 4th
Feature: 4th -> 4th

A day of 4th’s for Kendall but holy moly, did she drive! For only her 3rd day in the r-box class, she really looked like a veteran driver out there - even giving Payten a run for her money a few laps!! She had some much better starts, did better running her lines and had some really great speed! 👏🏼

After the races, we had a little celebration for Payten’s championship accomplishment & the great season both girls had! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to Brian, Kari and the entire crew at Little Buckaroos for everything all season long! We are so grateful to have a local track that we get to race at on a weekly basis and all of the extra, above and beyond things you do for the racers, the families and the fans - they don’t go unnoticed! We appreciate ALL of it! 🫶🏼

And lastly, we couldn’t do it without all of the support from our great sponsors! Thank you for believing in us and helping fuel this entire program!

🎃🏁 Pumpkin 100 - Rice Lake Speed Pit Kart Track recap, 10/3:

Kendall (green plate):
Heat: 5th -> 4th
Feature: 8th -> 12th

For being only her second time racing in her r-box, this girl did fantastic! She was up 2 spots in her heat for a few laps and ended up finishing 1 position up from where she started!
The feature was caution filled and ultimately she fell back on some of the restarts. We’ll keep working on making sure we’re up with the pack on restarts and she’ll be rockin and rollin in no time! Very proud of her for getting out there with these kids who really rip and have been in the class for much longer…she was nervous but did such a great job! 👏🏼

Payten (blue plate):
Heat: 1st -> 1st 🏁
Feature: 3rd -> 7th

Finally able to get the monkey of bad luck off her back at this track, sort of, and picked up a heat win in this faster class 💪🏼 In the feature event, she ran in the 3rd position for about 18 of 20 laps and ended up getting tagged, which got her lose and sent her sideways. Just a racing deal, but she kept it going to avoid the caution and fell to the back of the pack as the checkers flew.

Always a fun event, good to see some of our local racers make the trip as well and we’re glad they were able to get the shows in - even with Mother Nature being temperamental today!

Congratulations to Landon Bolt and Lyla Springborn on winning the feature events in their respective classes! 👏🏼👏🏼

Back in action tomorrow for championship day at Little Buckaroos! Last local race for the year and we’d love to see you there! Green flag drops at 3:00! 🏆 🏁
