What a season for these girls. 💙🥎

Congratulations to Prodigy Velasquez on finishing the 2026 season as the USSSA Nebraska 10U Points Race Champions!

This group finished the year:

🥎 34–15–1
🏆 5 Tournament Championships
🏆 USSSA Nebraska 10U Class B State Champions
🥇 USSSA Nebraska 10U Points Race Champions

But the best part of this season can’t really be summed up by a record or a trophy.

These girls worked.

They showed up to team practices, put in extra reps, worked with pitching and hitting coaches, learned how to compete for each other, and kept getting better. We watched multiple girls hit their first-ever over-the-fence home runs, saw huge defensive plays, big pitching performances, clutch hits and — most importantly — a team that learned how to battle together.

The championships are pretty special.But watching 10- and 11-year-old girls realize what they’re capable of when they put in the work? That’s the part we’re most proud of.

Congratulations, girls. You earned this. 💙🖤🤍

💙 A message every young athlete needs to hear... 🥎

In a world full of comparisons, remember this:

You don't have to look like everyone else to become an elite softball player.

Your size, speed, or appearance won't determine your future nearly as much as your work ethic, coachability, confidence, and mindset.

Find what makes YOU dangerous, then work every day to sharpen it.

Comparison steals confidence. Hard work builds it.

Can we kill this idea that every elite softball player has to look the same?

Because it’s getting old.

Some of you have already convinced yourselves you aren’t recruitable…

…and you’re 13 years old.

“She’s 6’1.”

“She throws 70.”

“She’s built different.”

Cool.

Now what?

You gonna quit before the game even tells you no?

Social media has some of you comparing your Chapter 2 to somebody else’s highlight reel.

That’s a losing game.

I’ve faced slappers that made my life an absolute nightmare.

I’ve pitched against athletes that didn’t fit the “prototype” but flat-out wrecked games.

I’ve played with dominant pitchers that were 5’6”.

I’ve played with dominant pitchers over 6 feet.

I was 5’7”, just under 200 pounds, and stronger than most dudes.

I didn’t spend my career wishing I looked like somebody else.

I built my game around what made ME dangerous.

That’s what elite athletes do.

The game doesn’t hand out scholarships because you won the genetic lottery.

It rewards people who know exactly who they are…

…and make opponents hate playing against them.

Stop staring at everyone else’s body.

Stop wishing for someone else’s tools.

Figure out what makes YOU a problem.

Then sharpen it until nobody wants to see you on the schedule.

Your size isn’t what’s holding most of you back.

Your mindset is.

And that’s a whole lot harder to blame 🥎

As we close the book on an unforgettable season, we simply want to say thank you.

To our parents—thank you for the countless miles, early mornings, late nights, sacrifices, and unwavering support. Your commitment gives these athletes every opportunity to chase their dreams.

To our families, fans, sponsors, and instructors—thank you for cheering us on, believing in this team, and investing your time and energy into these girls. It truly takes a village.

Most importantly, we're incredibly proud of our 11 athletes. This season wasn't just about wins and losses—it was about growth. We watched each of you become stronger players, more confident competitors, and better teammates. The progress you made on the field was impressive, but the character you showed off the field made us even prouder.

As you head into the offseason, remember that the things you can control will always matter most: your work ethic, your attitude, and how you treat your teammates. Keep showing up. Keep pushing yourself to improve. Stay humble, stay hungry, and continue being the kind of teammate that makes everyone around you better.

🏆 USSSA Class B State Champions! 🏆

Last weekend, our Prodigy Velasquez 10U team showed exactly what they're made of, finishing a perfect 5-0 and bringing home the USSSA Class B State Championship!

What makes this group special is that every single player contributed. From making big defensive plays, to quality at-bats, aggressive baserunning, and executing our game plan at an incredibly high level, this was the definition of a total team effort. The softball IQ these girls displayed all weekend was impressive, and they consistently made the right plays in big moments.

Just two weeks ago, we faced some adversity and had a couple of tough games. Instead of letting that define them, these girls responded the right way. They went to work in practice and on their own, came out with energy, confidence, and determination from the first pitch of the weekend and never let off the gas.

We couldn't be more proud of the effort, toughness, and teamwork this team showed. Championships aren't won overnight—they're earned through hard work, resilience, and trusting each other. This group embodied all of that this weekend.

State Champions. 5-0. One Team. One Goal. 💙🖤🥎
