The 9 a.m. games that were canceled by inclement weather on Saturday, Sept. 5 have been rescheduled. Leagues included in the 9 a.m. cancellations include the U4, U5, U8 mixed, U10 girls, U10 mixed, U12 girls, U12 mixed and U14 mixed divisions. If you did not have a 9 a.m. game on Sept. 5, please ignore.

As a reminder for any upcoming weather situations we may find ourselves in, please assume the game is on until you are notified otherwise via LYSA email, LYSA social media (Facebook, Instagram or X) or your coach. We will do our best to communicate with you in a timely fashion, but sometimes decisions will need to be made at the field by officials.

LYSA Youth Recreational games for Saturday, Sept. 5 at 9 a.m. are canceled due to the current weather.

However, starting at 10 a.m., we plan on playing the remaining games today. We expect the storm to be out of the area by then.

All LYSA Youth Recreational practices for Friday, Sept. 4 are canceled due to the heat. This applies to all LYSA Youth Recreational teams regardless of practice location (this is not just a Masterson Station directive).

All games for this weekend are on as scheduled. Saturday is expected to be hot but not quite to the levels we've experienced the last few days. Having said that, please take necessary measures to keep your child cool this weekend. Pack extra water and consider bringing ice packs to cool down during breaks.

On Saturday, mandatory water breaks will be enforced for all games with officials. Coaches of U8 divisions have the authority to add additional water breaks if the 12-minute quarters are deemed too long before a hydration stoppage. For U6 divisions and below with frequent stoppages, please make sure you are adhering to consistent substitution patterns so the young ones are not playing extended minutes.

LYSA TOPSoccer Kentucky serves children and adults with disabilities throughout Central Kentucky. Volunteer registration is extended through September 4, with possible further extensions for positions with remaining openings.

All practices for LYSA Youth Recreational soccer are canceled for Thursday, Sept. 3 due to the extreme heat. This applies to all LYSA Youth Recreational teams regardless of practice location (this is not just a Masterson Station Park directive).

Please note this does NOT pertain to LYSA Night at the UK Women's Soccer game. That game and event are on as scheduled for those who RSVP'd. If you did not RSVP, you are still welcome to attend the game as admission is free, but all game operation roles for players have been assigned. If your child does come, we recommend wearing their LYSA uniform.
